Hi, My girlfriend lives in Canada, and I live in the states, We have been together 2 years and I have visited her multiple times. She wants to sponsor me to be a permanent resident there, I know the qualifications, Like we have to live together for at least a year first but.. I'm just wondering if she is able to since she has funding to go to school. I believe the funding she's on is PSSSP from Nunatsiavut. I read on the CIC website that you are unable to sponsor someone if you are on financial assistance. So does she qualify?

By financial assistance they mean social assistance in the form of welfare. Student loans are not included in this, so if she's receiving student loans, she still qualifies to sponsor you as a spouse/common-law/conjugal partner.
