Hey all,
So here is the situation. I am a Canadian citizen living in Canada and my girlfriend lives in Holland (Dutch citizen). She is coming over in August and we were hoping to be together for the 6 months she is allowed to be here for and then decide what we want to do (get married, her look for work, extent her visitors visa or just have her go back and do the long distance thing for a little while longer). Right now I believe that she has her return flight booked a month or two after she arrives. Due to the fact that we're going to figure out what is going to happen while she is here she will be done her job by the time she flies over to Canada. She has been here before (for x-mas) and got in without many questions at all but that was for a shorter stay of about a month. Just reading through the forums I have come across a couple of posts discussing what to do to not get rejected at the border. These have kind of got my worried about her getting turned back and having our plans shot to hell because of it. So I was wondering what you think we should do.
Should we maybe change her return flight to a date closer to her arrival date in Canada to avoid some questions at the border or would it be a better idea to leave the flight as is but have some documentation showing a rental agreement and bank statement (she will have approx $15,000 when she comes).
