Gift Deed - Notarized ??

Hi All,
If someone in Canada needs to write a gift deed and transfer funds to the applicant's account. Does the gifts deed need to be notarized. If so is there any place in Canada to get the same done?

Hi,

I am in the same situation myself. Spent the whole day at a notary public office in Ajman court but at the end came to know that they do not notarize such documents.

So, I came across this post if a self declaration letter is enough. Actually, it is not clear for me if a gift deed is considered as a legal document itself, so it may be required to be notarized, or is it just a self declaration letter.

I believe I will have to go with the self declaration letter. Is it OK?

Did you finally submit only a self declaration letter ? Did you get the PR? I'm trying to give it a shot to notarized it at Dubai courts tommorrow . Hope it works

Any update? Same situation here, I have to submit my POF details in another 45 days, and I have most of the money from my Dad through bank transfer. Confused about getting a notarised gift deed or just a letter signed by me and Dad, and an LOE.
