Hi @CathyKellyChen
They didn't ask me IMM5532E document. I don't know why.

Have you submitted IMM5562E document?
I know, everyone should check docs few times, but just want to know did you mistakenly submitted IMM5532E instead of IMM5562E document.

Once you transmit (complete submission) documents to IRCC, you can't upload again. You have to submit through CaseSpecificEnquiry only.

So far everything looks fine with our application. Spouse received medicals request and passed as well.

I bet what documents are required varies from office to office (maybe from officer to officer). In my case, I've been asked for IMM5532( that couldn't be wrong) by HKVO. I submitted documents for my recent marriage through webform from the very beginning, so I think if that signature negligence does matter, re-submitting before the deadline is supposed to right the wrong.

Good luck to both of us !

Hi, allthebest, I'm wondering why u didn't apply under FSW stream ? with your IELTs scores, it would've been easy to get ITAed without an additional 600 points.

I already applied for BC PNP waayy before I applied directly to EE just as a backup. It just happened that I also got the nomination when I got invited. so I might as well take the 600 extra points.

In any case, the longer processing time actually goes in my favor as I'm still planning to get married on the first week of February 2018. I'm hoping not to get a PPR before then so I can include my spouse in my application. :)

Hi All,
This thread has been very insightful thus far. Thank you :)
I am a CEC applicant (living in Canada) with passport currently sent to Ottawa for stamping. I am planning to get married overseas in Feb. I am hoping to add my spouse before landing. Here is my concern:
-->If i am overseas and get married and inform CPC Ottawa about my marriage, can i return my passport once i come back to canada? as in can i use the COPR and visa i will get initially to enter Canada and send it to Ottawa for cancellation after i return from marriage?
Do you think that will be possible?
Thanks a ton!

Marital status shows as single in the CoPR.
You can't do landing with that CoPR after marriage.

If you have valid visa apart from CoPR, you will come back to Canada using that visa (TRV if required) and have to update CIC about the marriage. They will request back CoPR (May be passport also) for cancellation and ask to submit additional docs to add spouse to the application.
After processing spouse docs, they will issue new CoPR for both of you.

Does this mean that even if I have a CoPR and PR VISA (one time entry) I can still opt to not use it when entering Canada and use a Work Permit + VISA for example?

In chelseafc99 case, CoPR is no longer valid (due to change in marital status). Inform the border security office while landing, about the change in marital status and continue to be worker in Canada until the issuance of new CoPR.

I dont know the answer to your question @allthebest90.

Remember CBSA folks are not machines. If you could, you will get questioned on why you decided to use one method over the preferred PR landing. Keep in mind, their system can also show your status as well. If you don't have an issue with answering a few questions, go ahead. the short answer is technically yes but like I said, we're dealing with humans here lol.

I apologize for not mentioning beforehand but I'm also planning on getting married :). Do I get less questions if my status changes resulting in my CoPR getting invalidated?

Hi,
I was called mid last week and asked if I would be able to travel to Canada by January as my medical will already be expiring and I responded yes. No update since then. I'm hoping for a PPR very soon since January is nearing.
Additional documents says not needed, background check-in process and Final decision - application is in progress.
Which visa office pls?

I got married after ppr and cic asked me to sent the stamped passport and copr to delhi visa office who issued this passport. Now i have sent them via courier.
How do i expect them to send me my passport back?

Hi all finally i got the ppr again. Question, i was asked to pay for a reprinting of pr visa and copr. Does anybody know which specific item to choose for payment in the cic website?

Congratulations elle03.

Looks like they are asking for RPRF fee.
Is your passport stamped when you got the PPR for the first time?

Yes. I already paid for everything previously and since they will be stamping the visa again on my passport they will be reprinting. Im not sure which to choose for payment

Hi friends,

Please Help considering my situation:
I have got the PPR when I was single and I have not yet landed. I recently got married and I am going add my wife to my profile. Please let me know if what should be the surname of my wife on the marriage certificate. Her name before marriage was ABC xyz before marriage and her name now is ABC sss and her name on passport is still ABC xyz. will it be beneficial to get marriage certificate with ABC sss or ABC xyz or only ABC?
