Hey Guys. I have a question for you, if someone would be willing to answer.
I was having a coffee with a friend yesterday when I mentioned that I would like to get back to Canada to my wife and I am currently in the process of acquiring Canadian PR.
He asked me if I knew my fair share about immigration and I told him I could probably find out.
Thing is, hes friend, lived in Canada (not sure under which status), and had some heavy criminal charges (pretty sure drugs related). This friend of his does have family in Canada(immideate family-mom,brothers,sisters) that are Canadian citizens/PR. I suggested, that the guy should start from finding out what status of his removal from Canada is. My friend said that the guy doesnt have the paper anymore, so wouldn't be able to find out. I suggested contacting CBSA to acquire a copy of the document (though I assume its a deportation order) to find out whether its an exclusion or deportation order.
My friend has kindly asked me to find out which instance should the guy e-mail. I realise that this guys chances are close to nil and I obviously dont want to be helping a criminal, but apparently guy is doing much better and not involved into a criminal lifestyle, so I would like to help my friend out even if for good karma's sake.
Any suggestions as to what instance(email) this guy has to contact CBSA at in order to straighten his stuff out?
Regards and thanks in advance
