Hello everyone,

Starting this topic to find out how to track our GCMS notes application, if anyone knows about it so other people can follow the same thing. Please share if you know how to track gcms application because according to the responding email we see a tracking # in it!

How many times can we apply GCMS notes, say once we received it and nothing is started on your application, can you re apply for it again in few weeks?

They generate your GCMS notes right away when you request them, but they deliver to you after 30 days, you are not gonna get anything before 8 july..

It's done pretty much right after the application is submitted. It's not sent right away though. I assume the reason for the artificial delay is to discourage repeated applications within a short period.


Apply -> Wait roughly 30 days -> Check mail

Is it a "track progress" number or is it more of a reference number? I haven't done it myself so I don't know.

Post here when you guys do receive your notes. I applied for mine on May 15th, so I'm hoping I get them in a couple of days.

I think it's more of a ref. number in-case you need to contact them to find out what is happening... I suggest you give it a bit longer!

One of the main reasons for the delays in these notes are that they have to be screened thoroughly by an officer to ensure that they don't contain anything that is private - that they have grounds not to show you.

Hi. What does GCMS stand for? and what's that for??
Do I need that too?
Does anybody know that how long it lasted last time when CIC was on strike?
