I am
A November applicant and I was thinking whether or not I should apply for gcms notes
Dies anyone have any idea if it could affect our CEC file processing or is it normal to ask for these notes

Its normal to request! ATIP is a separate division... Just keep in mind that they will generate the notes a few days after you request, but it takes 30 days to receive them. So, any info you do get will probably be outdated. Especially now that November applicants have started receiving MRs! By the time you receive the notes, things on your file could already have changed. But, if you do want to see what's been done, then by all means...go for it. Hope that helps with some context. :)

there is Case file and Personal corporate records, pls which one to select if i want to request GCMS note.

thank you

Hi!
I'm an April applicant.
Application received in Sydney: Apr 2
AOR Received: May 14
Ecas status: application received

I for some reason ordered the paper application, so they sent back a copy of my application by email. But at least I got some insights about it.

Some notes I saw written by them:
CIC | KMR (officer's initials) | 03 / 05 / 2013
Scan Error | TP (or something like that) | 06 / 05 / 2013
JAP (or OAP, can't read well) | SL | 08 / 05 / 2013
Created | WN | 14 / 05 / 2013
RCMP check initiated | WN | 14 / 05 / 2013

I just applied for GCMS notes again, but this time electronic format, maybe by then I have some more info.

My main concern was that I put the wrong visa office for processing, that's why I ordered gcms notes, but I saw that the officer crossed it out and put "CPR". Is that Ottawa?

All,

How do we Track a GCMS Request online, after raising one and till the time the Notes are received. I arranged to raise the request on 23 JUN 2013 and till date, I have NOT received any GCMS Notes.

Please enlighten.

Thanks.
Regards.

You cannot track a request. If you have not received a response to your request within 30 days + a few days here and there to allow for holidays and slower processing due to PAFSO, then you should email them back with the request number (automatically generated by the ATIP system when submitting your request) inquiring about the notes.

On the other hand, if they haven't sent you anything for a long time (way past the due date), then you might as well submit a new request. I have seen ATIP recently reporting requests being misplaced in the system. But, if you don't wish to wait, emailing them would be the next step.

I applied for GCMS notes on Aug 31. I got the same email with "temporary" tracking number. I checked my credit card transactions and it does report a debit of $5. The merchant was noted as "IMMIGRATION CANADA." Not sure why you didn't get charged. Maybe it hasn't been reflected by your bank yet? Perhaps call and ask?

I did not receive anything since that first email either....

Many people do not receive their GCMS notes despite waiting several months, so I am not so hopeful...
