I don't know if it is by CBSA or just CSIS. I tried to find out, but the only thing I can see on the ATIP notes from IRCC is "CSIS is in progress and pending results".
Today received CBSA notes, ordered on Dec 7, 2024 and received on Jan 2, 2025.
Security screening is still in process. I compared two CBSA notes (one was ordered in July 2024 and the other was ordered on Dec 2024).
In CBSA letter on July 2024, Summary of Exemptions shows:
19(1)(a) - Obtained in confidence from a foreign state
21 - International affairs and/or defence of Canada or its
allies
22(1)(b) - Investigative techniques or plans for specific
lawful investigations
In CBSA letter on Dec 2024, Summary of Exemptions shows:
19(1)(a) Obtained in confidence from a foreign state
22(1)(b) Investigative techniques or plans for specific
lawful investigations
26 Personal information of another individual
On the old CBSA notes, there is s.19(1) showing on the right top page.
On the new CBSA notes, no s.19(1) showing
Can anyone know what CBSA notes look like if security screening is close to finish?
For me, SS Comprehensive Security A34 did start Nov 28, 2023, which is more than 13 months AOR is April 4, 2023, and I did submit inland on Feb 28, 2023, soon two years.
I don't want to mention how much I needed for the Provincial nomination.
At least I did extend my work permit, and that was very fast less from 30 days.

HI Fakhir, may I ask whether you had security screening (comprehensive) when you applied for PR? Many thanks, and best of luck with your Canadian Citizenship Application!

I am not sure if I had comprehensive security screening for my PR. I was asked to submit finger prints, but the whole process took about 19 months (14 months after they started they started the process. So, I believe I had a comprehensive security screening for my PR.
