GCMS shows 'Security Screening' and waiting... - let's gather here!

Hey Guys, I submitted my file on May 11, when I checked tracker my background check started and was showing in
Progress on Aug 14 . If security check is undergoing for almost 2 months or if we didn’t get any updates after 5-6 months ( for CEC application) does that always mean my file is undergoing comprehensive security check

did you know about any one got the same response then got portal 1 after a short time??

IRCC agents tend not to reveal much concerning your security. While it could very well be a routine (record) check, the only way to be sure is for you to wait for another 2-4months and order GCMS notes which will state categorically the type of screening you are under. Good luck.

Hello SufurInn, I have a similar timeline. AOR was 2023-08. CBSA Note said updated in 2024-04, SS status: in progress by CBSA. CSIS Note said in progress without any details.

Do you mind guiding me how to check the start time of comprehensive SS?

Unfortunately for me, there has been no substantial progress in my application after contacting local MP. The only thing they tell you is the current status of your application, which you can get by just calling IRCC.

You can do nothing at all. If you're under SS, relax and forget about your file at least for 1 year.
