Blanka why is your application under secure outstanding?
Does anyone from your application was/is working in government?

That's what I would also like to know. No military, no government, not travels, EU citizen. I have no idea what is my crime.
Though, on my last notes Secure outstanding was blanked, but call centre agent said he still could see that. I'm expecting new set of notes in 10 days, I'll post any changes

I just received a mail from CSIS. They received request for security screening for my husband on Sept 29, 2016 and sent advice on Sept. 30, 2016.
They haven't receive request for me, I'm principal applicant. they recommend to redirect my request to CBSA or IRCC.

Category: PNP (Newfoundland) from within Canada.
As of today I am in the 10th month (after AOR on 12 October 2016).
Security screening started on 25 January (5,5 months).

Transparency and accountability of Canada federal immigration bureaucracy is zero!

Hang on Matt, I'm still senior member of forgotten cases ;)
I don't analyze or track other applicants, but last one that reported PPR had SS started in August. Mine started in September, so your explanation from previous day about the delay makes some sense. I hope your wait will be over soon, belive me, I know your pain

Hi Blanka,
I appreciate your kind message.
It is crazy even to imagine that they do security screening over 5,5 months. What are they looking for, I don't know. I am absolutely for an effective security background check as a resident of this country as well, but this procedure doesn't make any sense. Longer security screening doesn't mean an effective one! Besides, I and my family (as yours) are already in Canada. If we were a security threat for this country we should not be there. Does Canadian immigration bureaucracy think bad guys need a PR visa to do bad things? :) It is ridiculous to process that long security screening for inland applicants (no offense Outland-guys). We are already here. It doesn't make any difference if someone is a temporary or permanent resident, if he is in Canada, his security evaluation is equally relevant. With other words, regarding the security risks for Canada, a tourist or a PR candidate are absolutely the same. That's why this extremely long security screening for inland applicants doesn't make any sense, because they are absolutely no contribution to Canada's security. The guys is there, and if he is a security threat, it doesn't matter which visa status he has.
---
Well, this is not so obvious for some people in the forum... Anyway, it is what it is.
Obviously Canada immigration bureaucracy on federal level doesn't care how efficient or inefficient they spend tax-payers money. If they like to throw out their money from the window, it's their business.
---
Funny thing is that every Canadian friend or colleague I have think their county is the most easy-going country for immigration. They think the door is so open that everybody can get in! :)

Might be the date you created your EE profile. Mine is 2016/01/03 which is the date I made my profile and my AOR is June 28 2016.
