Hey, my medicals is not yet updated. Applied on 9th July 2020 along with upfront medical.. received aip on 3rd sep. Spoke to the hospital and everything is fine from their end. Raised webform last month and they replied stating that my file is in order and VO has not requested for medicals yet. Can you please let me know what could be the possible reasons. Thanks for your help
Same here.. Applied visa on July 25 got AIP on sep 3 and till now no updates on my medicals and I have also called up my hospital and they said everything is fine.. What could be the reason.. Your opinion on this @jigzzy will be useful

It means that the VO hasn't opened your file yet. My medicals passed 3 months after application submission.
Times have changed, so has their review process.
I believe IRCC is trying to process the Summer applications as most of the Summer applicants had to defer.

You don't have to do anything. VO hasn't requested CPO (Case Processing Agent) to look in to your medicals. Once Eligibility is passed, your medicals will be updated.

As per my GCMS notes the eligibility under assessment says Recommend Passed

When did you get these notes? That means the CPO hasn't picked up your file yet. Is DLI in the list?

I got them in October. Yes, DLI is in the list and it is a complete file.

That means the CPO hasn't picked up your file yet - what does that mean? I got AIP though

My dli is in the list but I haven't given my biometrics yet.. Is this a reason for the delay?

Visa Officer and CPO are different people. CPO are agents working on non-decision making stuff, for example, verifying LOA, funds, contacting other offices for validation of stuff etc. If VO has made a decision and assigned it an agent, that agent will pick up file in due time and based on the notes from VO, work on it. On average, it takes about 20 ~ 30 days between each assignment before you see a change. It used to be with in a week but timelines have changed due to covid.

Yes. Most likely. You will get Bio letter soon when the turn comes. They are prioritizing those that have cleared all steps but Bio is missing so that they can clean up the queue.

So will our eligibility be checked again by Vo? Or what happens next

I guess I need to wait then.. I am just worried bc its been 6 months since I submitted my medicals and its surprising to see that CPO/VO has not updated the same..

Eligibility is not checked again by the CPO. VO only does that. But there are other multiple tasks that has to be completed. For example, verifying IELTS, LOA, Financials, you educational documents and/or employment letters that are carried out by agents instead of VO. Based on the note, the CPO either reports back to VO with all the info or process ahead (again by the recommendations provided by VO). This can go on for a while. Again, these lengthy times are due to covid and the backlog, else this used to happen with in days instead of weeks/months.

Yeah. Wait is the only option. Files are in limbo for ton of students for a while now. But for once in last 8 months, things are moving and files are getting closed (PPRs / approvals) etc so the # of applications are going down. Due to this, processing times will decrease soon.

Thanks a lot for your answers buddy
