I have been waiting for 2 years (Spousal Sponsorship) and receive no update from IRCC, recently decided to apply for the GCMS notes. There is a note:
"PA was previously married. Insufficient evidence to support dissolution of previous relationship provided. Additional documents must be submitted". For your information, I have included the divorce certificate in the submitted application package.

The note was entered a year ago, however, I never receive email from IRCC for additional documents. In my Account, the application status indicates no additional document requires.

Is divorce certificate good enough? Anyone has similar experience and knows what additional documents IRCC needs me to provide. Please advise.
(I submitted enquiry via webform but I didn't expect IRCC will response soon due to other priorities).

Usually a divorce certificate would be enough but there may be other circumstances.

But: regardless, submit a copy of your divorce certificate again - webform. Also inquire through your MP's office -provide them with this information from the gcms and the divorce certificate too.

An entirely plausible scenario is that there was some mistake, the note entered, and somehow the request to you for additional documents was not sent when it should have been. (Timing with covid etc suggestive, of course).

Regardless, the hope is tht by submitting and inquiring, you'll kick-start the process a bit.

Good that you applied for the GMCS notes.

And a very good example of why it is a good idea to apply for the gcms notes. Mistakes do happen, or misunderstandings, or things falling through the cracks. It may only be a small proportion of files, but it does happen.

Just send it again. It can be a mistake.
