GCMS advice needed!

Hey there guys,

I just got my GCMS notes now (I am a May 2014 applicant). Not much has been done on my file from what it appears...

Under the Assessments section it says:
"ASSESSMENTS
Eligibility:
Security: Not Started
HIRV:
Criminality: In Progress
Org Crime:
Medical:
Misrepresentation:
Other Reqs:
Final:"

Then under Eligibility Assessment it says:
"Status: Not Started
Due date: 2015/06/30"

Have any of you had a similar set of GCMS results? I can't see any notes regarding missing information or anything else being questioned... it just looks like nothing at all has been done... which seems weird.

I was eagerly waiting for my medical but now I'm worried... it isn't coming anytime soon if my eligibility hasn't begun... Any insight, advice, or personal experience would be very much appreciated!

My eCAS status is "In Process"... does "not picked for processing" mean my VO is working very slowly? (I am just trying to see if anyone else has had something similar ...)

Hmm that's strange usually it takes 5-6 months to be in process , Though you can not completely rely in e-cas status .
If I have to say after looking at your GCMS notes I can say your file have got AOR + they have or have initiated Criminal Name check to the database which they have access to that's why "Criminality" is in progress. In short wordings from 100% of your file processing ( excluding AOR) you have reached 5% .

2015/06/30 : Due date is this because as you said you applied in May 2014 which make duration till this date " 2015/06/30" as 13 months which is average processing time of CEC applications.

Hold tight , nothing to worry , just CIC is working slow that's all.

I hope it is just them being slow... I am just so concerned that my file hasn't even been started and other May applicants have submitted their medicals...

Does anyone know if there's a certain period of time to wait between your first GCMS notes and ordering your second? I tried to look online but couldn't see anything.

Has anyone else encountered a delay like mine in CIC starting to process their file?

Hi Natk,
Your application was received on may 20, while applicants that got med requests so far , are from earlier dates.
Our timeline is almost identical.
If all goes well, you should receive med request after the holidays.
I think CEC real processing for our applications has started in December.

Folks,

I am an April 2014 applicant, got AOR on 27 May. Haven't heard anything from CIC since even though I submitted some police clearances and requested acknowledgement. My eCas just shows "application received".

Where are you folks seeing "In Process"

My application status was updated to "in process" in ecas.
This was at the time I got the AOR.
I don't think it means much for CEC, because there was no progress in the application.

If you want to track specifically through GCMS notes , you can leave a Gap of one month for your next GCMS notes to see considerable updates .

I would suggest order every 2 months .

Thanks Shuki, I hope you are right. I am trying to stay positive and patient. I just hope my eligibility starts soon so then my medical can come - that is what I am most worried about. It's almost like my file has been forgotten about and not touched for months according to my GCMS...

Even I am waiting for MR . CIC received my file on 14th May . Not sure why there is a delay in processing.
