Hi guys,

I recently created a GCkey account to get more in-depth updates on our application as CIC advised me by email yesterday that a progress bar is now available.

Upon entering in application info they are asking for in order to "link an application" I keep getting an error saying application not found. Tried several times and gave up.

I have decided to just keep getting updates by email. What I would like to know is if linking our application to gckey is unsuccessful, will we still keep receiving emails from CIC.?

Our application status hasn't been updated since Jan 23 "medical results has been received".

However, yesterday we got pre arrival services email so I'm assuming the PPR is near?

Yes, you will keep receiving email updates. Linking the app online is purely for your own benefit. There are multiple threads about what methods of linking worked for people. Essentially, when you try to link you're trying to match the information entered into their database by an agent. Trying to link has always proven difficult (Google search will show you lots of examples of this).

You can call IRCC and go through their automated messaging system anytime.
1 888 242-2100 option # 1-1-2-3 using the touch pad enter file number and
other requested information regarding your application. The computer voice
will give you information you may be looking for. No need to wait on hold for hours!

Previously after waiting on hold for long time the call centre agent told me they
do not send emails for ' Medical passed ' and you need to have a linked account to see that update.
The agent can tell you if your medical has passed.

If you are unable to link your application.....Yes you will keep receiving emails from IRCC.

In your case, regarding ' medical results have been received '.
I think... No news is good news! Maybe good things to come.

Hello Can I ask abou GCkey timely update. My Gckey account showed invlid documents in counterfoil due to expired medical, i was able to do mu remedical last May 2021. Up until now still no update and still invalid, but when I called ircc the agent told me that in his end or in his system mu account is ok and i can proceed to travel (autohorized) it my Gckey that is not updated. I already foolow on this matter thru webform both office of application and centralized canada. Is this possible! Will i proceed on my flight?? Already have the stamp visa and letter of approval. TIA
