A medical exam for immigration purposes is performed by a doctor called a panel physician who is approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Please note the following:

• You can choose a panel physician anywhere in the world, even if they are not in your country of residence,
  
• You will have to pay for the medical exam and the cost may be different from one doctor to another,
  
• When calling to make an appointment, don’t forget to confirm what you need to bring to the exam,
  
• During the exam, tell the doctor where your application will be processed so that the medical results can be sent to the appropriate office.

Yes I told him(sponsor) to call cic after the update bec. Of the update on my account(medical status). Then thats what the agent told him and send that one on his email.

Hmm something dont seem right here. My application was sent in March (inland) and they told me that it is too early for medical request.
They also told few other people that they didn't send them request either so im not sure what's going on

I think we should phone CIC as well to make it sure what's going on.

yeah! I also know someone the same timeline with me(outland), they already have medical request last june1. But he received his med. Request through his cic account.

Okay. Maybe yours might be fine since outland is always faster than inland for everything

For a 2017 inland applicant to be asked for medical is very very fast usually won't hear from CIC for months could be even a year before they ask however since they're trying to finalize in land applications within 12 months I could see a lot of things changing to being done faster however just give it time. Don't get impatient guys. I just got asked for medical on Saturday June 3rd and I'm a April 2016 applicant.

Weird! We received an update this morning from GCKey that medical requested.After 1 hr it updated again asking for additional documents but no message. I will phone them now to know what's going on .

I agree totally. Long journey but you are getting close to the end!

I checked the system changed the status as below.

1/ "We have requested a medical exam. Check your messages below for details.".
>> I can't see any message. How to book the medical exam?

2/ Sponsorship Application Status change to "Decision Made" - Do it means the sponsorship approved?
