I am an international student in the US applying for a Canadian visitor visa to visit my brother in Canada. I previously applied for and received one back in 2019, before this new IRCC Portal existed, so at the time I made a GCKey username and password. My visa is expiring soon so I want to apply for a new one, but when I tried to log in it said my GCKey had been revoked (probably due to inactivity for so long).
When I answered the question under "Get detailed instructions for your situation - Why are you applying for a visitor visa?" at this link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/apply-visitor-visa.html it ended up telling me to create an IRCC account, which I did, but now I am worried because my current visitor visa is linked with my old GCKey that has been revoked, and my new visa will be associated with this new IRCC account. Will I face any issues because of this?
