Hello,

I'm about to apply for PR in the Federal Skilled Worker Class. I'm asked about the funds I have available (Q 25 in the form IMM 0008 SW). I'm supposed to furnish CAD 10168, and I currently have around CAD 8000. Now, I have the following questions:

1. Should I go ahead and put an amount more than the limit needed (say, CAD 12000, which I can easily manage by the time they request my documents of proof)?

2. Should the amount I currently have, be in converted Canadian dollars?

3. During stage 2 (when they ask for documents), would I be asked to provide statements of proof for these funds at that present time, or at the time I submitted my preliminary simplified application?

Thanks in advance,
VJ

1. Whatever you put, if you put less than the required amount, they could return your application.
2. The amount you state should be Canadian dollars - not a different currency.
3. You'll be asked to provide proof of funds as of the date they ask for them - not when you originally submitted your application.
