I am planning to apply for my mother's Super visa and had a question - Do I need bank statements or funds proof from mother's side ? If someone who got approval can share how much would be a good amount.

Hey guys,

I am also wondering about the same.. applying the super visa for parents .. do I have to upload balance on parents side? if yes, would 8k be enough to show with 1mon bank statement?? I have enough savings to show & noa meets lico requirements would 1yr noa be enough with 12mos stubs & bank statements?

Please advice

Yes, applied from India. We gave a self declaration letter for gold, bank statement and letter from bank manager, and tax receipt for land to a CA. they checked it and gave the certificate.
May I know where to upload PR card , is it under required upload document list of “Immigration Status “?
Do you know there is a question “ Is someone else giving you money for your stay in Canada “, if my mother has sufficient fund for her expenses , even I need to promise financial support her , should I answer Yes or No ?, thanks

Hi Everyone,

I have gone through this thread, I am applying for Super Visa for my parents. It got rejected twice due to some missing documents like
1) Firstly because I had bought the insurance on installaments and 2) Second time due to missing proof of relationship with my parents
I have bought the full Insurance and have procured doucments that show relationship to my parents.

I am stuck at the proof of funds - I do not have any savings, both Chequing and Saving are like a hundered dollars each. Hence, I think bank statement cannot be shown. I do meet the LICO, can provide Employment letter, pay stubs, became Canadian Citizen in 2019.
Parents bank account everything included together is approx $20, 000 and their house valuation is also there.

So, what should I provide in the proof of fund?

Also, @nuan0325 - Did you get your parents Super Visa, @Iranus92 did you manage to apply in the end and if yes what did you do about it? @bunzo did your sister got the visa in the end for the parents?

I @ some people but anybody is welcome to answer, please. Thank you so much in advance.
Hi, you mentioned it got rejected first as you bought the supervisa medical insurance on installments. How did you know that it was rejected for that reason? I understand now we can get supervisa insurance on monthly installments as mentioned on the IRCC website itself:
"The health insurance policy should
  • be valid for a minimum of 1 year from the date of entry
  • be paid in full or in instalments with a deposit (quotes aren’t accepted)
  • cover health care, hospitalization and repatriation
  • provide a minimum coverage of $100,000"

They emailed us like you did not pay the insurance in full that's why we are rejecting.
