Hi Nighrocker -

You should show first year fees (in your case 5700) + 10,000 for living expenses + 2000-3000 for travel expenses.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

I have another problem. I have sent my application and required documents for admission in College. I hope I'll get Letter of Acceptance in one month. I have an account but there are no funds in it. I have transferred some $9000 last week and can arrange the remaining cost in a few days. So according Canadian Study Permit requirements, the Candidate must show past 4 months Bank Statements!!!! But in my case the duration of funds in my account will hardly be one month. This is will eventually put a bad impression on my visa case. What would you prefer to me to do so. what is the other way out? Can I use my Uncles' bank statement-though he is a businessman has a strong account? or is there any option for sponsorship? Please all the seniors are requested to help me out :(

Hi Mate
I guess you already have all the information you need to apply for student visa.
The requirement is 4 months bank statement and the formula of total statement is Course fees+ Living Expenses+Ticket fees.
So even after you knew all the details why do you want to apply with one months statement don't spoil your case in a hurry try not to leave a loophole in your application, if for any reason your visa got rejected it would totally spoil your case.
So try to file a perfect application and leave the rest to your luck.

Re: student visa rejected, will apply again,,,good idea?

The reason why he wants to spoil his application despite the fact if knows the requirements of a four month bank statement is because he does not have the money. Using his uncles bank statement is suicide.

Hello Nighttrocker

I have a slightly different opinion
Check out my last post on Proof of Funds and you gain some experience from some guys
4months from my understanding is to show account performance
So a totally blank account before your deposite might question source of funds
Or else you can prove source, like sales deed of property or stock ... with concrete evidence

Otherwise, if your uncle is direct uncle (preferable paternal with the same surname), his statement can stand for you
But you must ensure
1.The account performance for the last six months is solid
2.That he has far in excess of what you need ( because they may not assume that he would empty all his account for a nephew or nice)
3.That he is willing to give you proofs for his source of funds (eg business registration documents, tax receipts etc - see student permit checklist for others)
4.That you get a letter from him showing his willingness to sponsor you
5. If you can get any proof of relationship with the uncle, it would also buttress your point (eg birth certificate of your father (or mother as the case may be) and him, to show the same parental name)

I feel you can also attach your account statement to the above and have him state in the letter that in support of the admission, he has provided the funds you have in the account.

I hope this helps and guides you in whatever decision you need to make

My view on the 4 month bank statement is that you have the funds in your account exclusivily in your name held for 4 months at the time of application. Its to try to stop applicants from borrowing money from friends and family to make the required fund statement.

hi

this is their CIC's basic requirement note this

the one year tuition fee and living must be maintained for a period of at least 2-3 months in a 4 or 6 month bank statement
