Funds checking on first entry into Canada

Hi all
My query is whether at the time of immigration ( after receiving a PR) does the government check for funds being carried by the immigrat?
Do I have to carry a min. Amount of Canadian dollars to enter Canada for the first time via the PR visa ?

According to the above you must have the funds with you in any method as described.
When you land first time with your PR visa, the Immigration Officer may ask about the funds you carry. They are not going to count your money what you carry, but may ask you questions

the officer asks just for the amount you have, they only need to fill up the incoming immigrant form in their system
in my case I showed them a bank statement, They told me, "just tell us the amount, please"
