Hello,

I am an international student applying for Undergraduate BSc. Science. My cost of tuition is approximately ~21,000 CAD. I will not be staying on campus because I will be live with me aunt in Canada.

For my Proof of Means for Financial Support I have a letter from my uncle and aunt that states they will be paying for my stay and accommodation. Their bank account statement currently has ~19,000 CAD. My education will be mostly paid by my scholarships that I am waiting on. In total my uncle and my family combined I can show around 24,600 CAD.

How much should I put for "Funds available for my stay in Canada" in imm 1294e? Should I also deposit more in bank or less?

which scholarship?
I have different ones from different sources. I am waiting on several from my high school. They are around 5000 USD each and I get around 2-3 of them adding up to estimating 15,000 CAD.

Also will the letter from my uncle be allowed to show my financial stability to stay?

The scholarships are given out by my high school from the US. I applied them at my high school. I was supposed to be recieving them sometime around this month at a ceremony in school but because of the current pandemic the deadline was pushed and its sometime in June. Perhaps I can explain that in letter of explanation?

Unless you have already received your scholarships and have proof they won’t count. Would warn you that this isn’t enough funds. You are doing a 4 year degree and your aunt and uncle don’t have enough money to cover 1 year of tuition. How will you cover the next 3 years. You aunt and uncle also need their savings to cover their own unexpected costs for example they may have lost a job during covid. Do your parents have savings? Have you considered going to a state school if you are a US citizen? It may make more sense if you have strong grades. You would qualify for more scholarship money.

My fees will not be funded from my uncle and aunt, they will just be letting my stay at their house and pay the food etc...My parents have funding here just not enough for 4 year all together in US. They also own several properties in India and they are on rent so that money is also building up in bank account in India. I am not sure if I can use those accounts to show balance.

My high school grades are good considering I am graduating top 20% of my class in high school. Unfortunately, I am undocumented in US. A US State school is too expensive for me as my state schools gives me no scholarships. Private scholarships have too rigorous requirements and FAFSA checks.

Thr fact that you are undocumented is a big issue. You are unlikely to be approved for a Canadian study permit because you have not followed the immigration rules in the past and can not show strong ties to your home country. You can certainly try but in general undocumented people are denied work and study permits. In terms of funds you must show personal savings accounts. The accounts can be in any country. You can include proof properties and rental income. Unfortunately would be looking into option B like community college. You can get for PR once you qualify as an undocumented person.

I agree. I am aware that my application has high odds of being turned down. I chose the option to give Canada a try because of current events in the US. The PR or even work permit process in the US takes too long and risks greater chances of being sent back. Even if I was to go to 4 year US University my degree will most likely be "worthless" as I have no real job scope.

The degree wouldn’t be worthless. You could use the job to get a job in other countries (not Canada). We have seen others qualify for PR after going to the US as an undocumented student. I am sure DACA helped at the time. Would suggest applying to schools in other countries lime India.

Yes, DACA would have been a great help but current administration of the president Trump is highly risky for my future in the US. I have considered other options such as community college but want to give Canada a serious try first.

Best of luck. Think I have only see one person approved and they were doing a masters or PhD at a very good Canadian school.

It is almost impossible to get a study permit if you're not living in your home country.
