I will be starting my may 2021 program in online from my home country in Bangladesh. I know that i can work only 20 hrs a week in Canada as per IRCC rule. But since I'm in home country while I'll be doing my online course till june 2021, i need to continue my current job in bangladesh. Primarily my office has asked me if i can continue till June 24th 2021.

I was wondering if IRCC has any restrictions for full time studnets in online course to have a full time job in home country outside Canada.

Can you please help?

IRCC cares only about Canada and money not Bangladesh. You get your visa, pay your tuition that's what matters.

Hi, Doing so won't impact your express entry points ? As you are doing a full-time remote job and full-time studies, which one will be considered valid for points ?

Good question. As per rules, express entry points will be added only for duration of time inside canada. But, the rules might or might not be changed for this covid situation. However PGWP will be counted according to the length of study(either inside or outside canada).
So no need to overthink it. PGWP duration is enough time to secure the good points.

Moreover, the job experience (either inside or outside Canada) in particular NOC will be counted during express entry application.

Let me know for any confusion.

Thanks mate for the clarification. so, points will be given for both remote work experience as well as full-time study in DLI ?

you will get foreign work experience points for this and also get points for your canadian education(if u attend more than 50 perc or more of the classes as in-person classes in your insituution)

Pls seek help from a good immigration consultant or lawyer. Reason is - you have a full time course and doing a full time job. In future, when you need to tell which type of course you did, what would you tell? Full time or part time? Anything done with full time course is part time job. And your job exp would have coincided with course duration.

But, I am working for an MNC, which has branches in different countries including Canada... So, it is an issue ?
By the way, I received my offer and continue working in India. The organization also registered as "Ind Pvt ltd"... The same replicates in my offer letter and payslip.

Same here.. Booked flight for July..

I have a question on the pgwp length. Oin 2020 i think iv read in IRCC page that the length of pgwp will be from application date (visa application daye) to study start date + study period.

Is ut still valid?

Hi @shopnodana91 and fellow members,

I have a critical query. Am I allowed to work for more than 20 hours in Canada under study permit conditions for a employer, who is based in my home country and who pays in my local currency (Not CAD).

In other words, Am I allowed to continue my full-time job that I am currently doing in my country, while I physically inside in Canada while attending the college without any issues.

If you are talking about working remotely, then yes as long as your employer doesn’t have Canadian offices or clients.

Yes, my job is IT based, which I am doing remotely in my country. If I continue to do the same job (under same terms and conditions as in my home country) remotely, while I'm in Canada under study permit, will be an issue ?

Note: The company is a MNC, which is present in more nations including Canada. But my offer is made in India under registered Indian office branch and salary is in INR.

This is a more complicated one because you work for an MNC with Canadian offices/clients. You need to make sure you meet the guidelines as posted. You can’t have Canadian clients or be seen as taking a job from a Canadian.
