Hi UjBaby,
Congrats for your job offer in NB. brunswickers are very welcoming and charming people. cost of life and quality of life also good. If your job offer is in Moncton, NB. you will enjoy living in a smart and vibrant community that cares for its occupants. Congrats again.
Now concerning immigrating in NB, if you go to the PNP stream, you need to work at least 6 months in the qualified skills( and yes nurse is high skill on demand in NB as many of my friends are very well established nurses there) after 6 months you apply to the PNP stream, it used to be free to apply for that program couple of years ago, now it costs $250 for the application(not sure about additionnal cost if you have familly coming with you).
Guess what? you get the provincial nomination in max 6 weeks and they so kind that when they approve you, they will also acheminate your package directly to CIC. so to apply you need 2 packages: the provincial PNP application to be approved on a first round and the federal application to be submitted to CIC once the provincial one is approved. Everything has to include the fees.
for more info visit the gouvernement of NB website under immigration and you will see everything required.
How I know that?? I was student there( check my flag on my profile) and they come every year at university to show us how to apply to their program.
why I did not apply to that program? after graduating I got my job offer in Ontario lol but I will alsways have New brunswick in my heart.
Best of all you will enjoy maritime seafood.
