Dear all,
please i submitted my documents to accra since 26th June and am yet to receive second aor by now. My 120 days expire on 20th october and i dont know what to do. My consultants says he is yet to receive the aor i dont know if i can call them directly

Have you tried to make inquiry to VO?

My case status has been changed to "Recvd by VO". I've just checked and found this change but for your enlighten, I didn't get any written acknowledgement [2nd AOR] from VO till to-date.

Any how Thanks to God! for a bit movement

Sound like a second AOR to me, Congrats!!!

If it doesn't come by e-mail it could be sent by mail and it can take some time to come.

I don't know exactly that how this has happened but I did make a case specific inquiry last week and today got this change, may be cause of this or might be ..... Any how I dispatched my supporting documents on 6th of September and according Fedex they received my documents on 8th of September. My 120 days deadline was 20th of September and I was much worried about the acknowledgement [2nd AOR] because my 120 days time period had expired and at this stage I can't bear any horrible shock. So, After a long wait then i decided to make an inquiry to London VO and finally i got a new status.

So, i would recommend those who are waiting for their next status, try make an inquiry to their respective VO and hope you'll get some good changes soon

Would it be right to assume that if all your documents and experience were acquired in a country where verification could be concluded very easily (eg: for engineer who is claiming 4 yrs experience with a UK based coy... and has all his education in UK), that the applicant stands a chance of having his application processed quicker.

I'm only assuming but please lets discuss/share views.

I think it would be more easy to verify and could cause of quick processing if the all credentials are genuine. Comparatively take less time than other's

Yes it would be more easier.

But in most cases (as far as I have seen) faster processing happens at smaller VO, because they have less cases to process.

Good point with regards to smaller VO offices. Well, London CHC is well overloaded with applications from other countries even as far as Pakistan, etc....so faster processing due to genuine cridentials may not even apply.

On a side thought;

I've noticed a trend in the the type of profession most intending FSW applicants fall into (NOC Code......: 0213).

Just wondered, how many IT professionals are out there in the world?.haha............It looks like IT is becoming more of a nursing job boom type which was obviously the case during the early and late 1980s/90s in UK (no longer the case though).

Any thoughts on this....

In 2006 there was around 15 million IT specialists in the world, today - I have no idea.

I have heard of interesting thing - a lot of young people aren't studying IT anymore and old are retiring soon. So there is a problem in IT sphere.
