it looks like we are not moving / going anywhere yet, we need a push
any updates any one , my 45 days finished and still did not hear nothing yet( in last mail from damascus they requested some information which they already have, they mention decision to be made within 45 days) today i am in 47 days as of today, an no news yet

60 days to get them the canadian police clearance, which takes in average 120 days to get,

Is your application a Family Sponsorship or a Federal Skill Visa? Because Kamal's case is a family sponsorship.

I am waiting to hear from damascus any minute now, my lawyer will send a letter next week for update if they dont update by then
hope for all for good news , police certificate only valid for 3 months I am afraid they will request another one soon again
just an advice, damascus send my mail to the wrong address just by luck my next door neighbor asked me if i know who the mail belongs to and the mail is not for her ( dont know my full name i guess/ in canada you dont know who is your next door most of the time)i laughed and said thank you, thanks GOD it is mine, the mail was mine but sent for wrong address

APP Processed & Approved: March 30,2010
Damascus started Processing: April 6, 2010
File Number Received from Damascus: April 15,2010
asked for Police clearances and questionnaire to be filled on the 22 June 2010
sent docs and received by damas on 26th june
sent my fingerprints to RCMP ottawa on 29th june, no reply from them yet.

I actually dont know why they asked me for a police clearance from canada, when I never stayed for 6 months in a row, moreover, they can conduct a name check by themselves in no time, probably 3 days, yet they asked me for fingerprinting based police check, which takes 120 days and they gave me 60 days to send them the clearance.

Is there any other applicants in the family class, other than you?

I dont think they will ask for another police clearance, never heard of that, a police clearance q 3 months.

I think they can finalize our applications way quicker, but they probably look at our applications once a month and inform us of any deficiencies.

please keep me posted of any correspondences you get from them

on other thread yes there is few others same time frame almost but they did not join the thread
I hope they can request your medical soon since you need 120 days to get police clearence from canada, and medical needs from start date 8 weeks to reach ottawa and results to go back to damascus for final decision,anyway let us all hope to hear good news.as of last week i finish 45 days (damascus said will make decision and contact us) until now no news hopefully this weekend since they work on weekend as a regular day

Hi!
I've just created a public worksheet with the data that has been gathered so far about the timelines.
I'm using it myself in order to have an overview of how the timings are going for everyone. (it has some average calculations that are usefull as a reference).

Hopefully this way will have more info, as more people can update it in a click.
Also, it allows for notifications when someone updates the info, this way we will all be up to date.
