AT LAST, after a precariously long, exhausting and testing wait -today I RECEIVED THE PASSPORTS WITH THE MAPLE LEAF attached along with 2 copies of COPRs each, one for the CIC and one for self, in the afternoon by regd. post. A two page instructions leaflet was also attached.


A quick glance of all the COPRs suggest everything is mentioned correctly, will have to check once again leisurely.

Completed my landing on the 24th at Toronto Pearson airport. Everything went smooth and we were out of the airport in less than an hour. POF was not checked but the CBSA lady asked how much we are carrying, all the B4 forms and supporting documents were stamped and we got a copy of the same. The counters were pretty much empty, my kids were running around playing hide and seek, the CBSA lady (I think of Indian origin), even joked to not forget the kids when going out . Everything is so clearly shared by members here that landing was a breeze. Thanks to everyone, especially Qorax and other senior members!

This completes a long and frustrating wait to get to Canada. Returned to the US after the long weekend, not decided when to move back permanently.

Things are costlier compared to the US, the tax rate is especially difficult to swallow, might take a look at other provinces like Alberta. Anybody moved/moving to Calgary, please share your experiences!

One thing I liked is the currency notes, colorful plastic! Looks and feels cool!

Hello ppl,

New joinee to the group from 2010 applicant.

After a really dreadful long wait, i was called for a interview on May 5, 2014, after which request for medicals, but no passport req. They just asked to send medicals with RPRF fee. So am still confused as to what is the state of my file.....is it normal to request medical results n RPRF without the passports or is it only me
Ny time line on hw long will de take to ask for my passports after sending the medicals and fees.
My status still shows in process.

Pls share ur views.........

Hi ,

I am preparing my application and have few questions:
1.The documents for which only copies are required, do we need to attest the copies?


2. I don't have my police clearance, do i need to attach a letter in my application mentioning that
i will submit the same later?


3.If my canada visa was rejected earlier, do i need to attach the refusal letter?

4.If i worked parttime along with studies, do i need to mention part time job?

5.I joined new company in April 2014, i have the reference letter without duties. Do i need to attach that?
I am applying in NOC 2174 on basis of my previous employment till mar 2014 , total 7 years exp

6. Do i need to add photos in application as per sequence mentioned or i can atachon top of all documents?

7. What should i mention in secondary and post secondary education?

rarepearl,

They can't reject for small reasons at this point. If your interview answers are consistent with your application - there is no need to worry. Request for Medicals is a good sign. It will be all right.

Can anyone temme if there is a way i can check on if my RPRF DD has reached NDVO or no. i had given it to my consultant to forward it with the medical done receipts. Been 2 weeks, havent heard a word still, so getting a bit tensed.

Waiting for the PPR is........ :'( everything is so uncertain.
