I am a June 2010 applicant and when I checked ECAS Status today/March 8, 2014, I found a new line 'A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision'. Trust everything goes OK.

I am not sure how long it takes to receive the passports from the day of the above status; seniors - please advise.

congrats dear, u can receive ur PP with visa within 2-10 days after DM. How many days after u recceived medical received line in ur ecase after medical done?

I completed Medicals on July 29 and the CIC ECAS status reflected: 'Medical results received' on Sep 01 - 1 month approx.

After medical , normally ecase updated with medical line within 4 to 10 days. have u asked for any another medical test after medical done in july. i m worry bcoz my old medical has been expired and i have done my second on 28 feb 14 but no medical line updated yet.

good luck! could you share what all we can take ie spices and pulses etc, i am in great search and doubts what to take and what not to... pls advice...

Hi Friend,
I think we can check-in two suitcases each weighing around 23KG. Check this is the case with your airlines. All the papers and important stuff in hand carry bag. Some times your check-in language can arrive late or even get lost so, keep one extra pair of clothes and all important things in your hand carry bag.

Make sure your check-in bags don't exceed the size of 157cm (Height + width + depth). I am thinking all the dresses, and the stuff you need will go in to one suitcase. In the other one, keep all essential things - the things you don't have to buy the moment you land. Like towels, slippers, extra pair of shoes, etc. If you have space - fill it up. Avoid carrying any liquid stuff. Finally, Make sure you weigh your bags to avoid any problems.

Hopefully others can post more tips. I am still learning..

No other additional medical test was done nor was it requested by CHC. Perhaps, I did not see the ECAS status for the first initial weeks might be one reason.

now waiting for final step.........
