Satnal... Visa date is before DM in my case... I got passport back in less than a month in about 25 days...

RPRF en-cashed by NDVO means everything is fine and the next step forward? or whatever it is they first en-cash the dd and later on,
go through the final documents?

dd is encashed by accounts department of NDVO and final decision is taken by visa officer after all statutory requirements are met. no connection between the 2.
but yes, dd encashment means that you are very near to the finishing line.

DD encashment also has nothing to do yaar.

My DD was encashed in 2010 itself. I did sent all payments in one lot.

Dear members,
fsw m1(prejune) candidates when requested for required documents after first approval, while sending we sent all pcc FBI reports etc right? and when medicals arrive we were asked for updates pcc,
now the earlier sent pccs and other fbi reports or other countries pcc, do they keep them all in our records? right just curious to know,
members any advice?

I was asked for updated PCC as well.. I sent updated one for India and wrote in the cover letter that I have already provided for FBI in initial documents and did not visited US for more than 6 months again. If they needed that again I might need couple months.

I got my passports back stamped without any query. Along with the passports, they returned me the original PCC's that I gave them.

I believe you can give the same explanations.

Processing Times IN MONTHS, for applications received, BETWEEN February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010 for NDVO increased to 36 Months

dd encashment is related to validity of dd which is 3 months from the date of issue. it has no other significance. But dd request itself means that you are close to finish line. So DD request is more important than DD encashment

I am sitting on a rocking chair in my porch with grey hairs and my walking stick by my side.

My granddaughter comes running-

‘Grandpa Grandpa the Postman has come with a letter from NDVO'

Excited I open up the letter and inside is a letter from NDVO asking for an updated IELTS test report, after two decades of my file being ‘IN PROCESS' they feel I might have forgotten how to speak/write/read/listen to English.

Grandpa Grandpa when will you give your IELTS asks my granddaughter.

I am stunned with happiness and do not know how to respond.

‘As soon as I get my updated medical reports I will apply for the IELTS test dear' I reply

I rush to my computer and break the news to my decades old friends on the CANADA VISA blog, Then I arrange for a maha mritunjaye paath which I regularly organise whenever a revert is received from NDVO.

Thereafter as usual I keep the letter on the feet of GOD's in my Temple.

Now 72 years of age and Excited again I am preparing for my IELTS test.

THIS NDVO HAS GIVEN ME A DESIRE TO LIVE AND LOOK forward to something in Life.

How long does it take at NDVO to stamp the visa?
Also if any one can guide me:
My dependent Son is already in Canada on study permit. Without knowing how long it takes at NDVO, he cannot come back to India and wait for visa stamping. Also it is not advisable/possible to send passport to India by courier.
Is there any other way to get visa stamped-especially for dependents in another country.
