From this e-mail it appears CHC ND processes applications based on the receipt date and not by 1st AOR or file transfer date. So send in your full documents as soon as possible.

Also for those who have received the 2nd AORs, give a heads up to your employer/manager/references to expect a verification call any time now. This usually happens (if they decide to verify) between now and medicals request.
Shreya & ptv,

I dont think it is wise to send the documentation at this time. please read the contents carefully which says, "Unless we have specifically asked you to do so, you are not required to submit any documentation at this time. Our office will contact you to provide the required supporting documentation for the assessment of your application."

Also, this one, "As we are not yet ready to review your file, you are not required send any documents in support of your application."

Hence sending the documentation at this juncture will only jeopardise the case. I wouldn't suggest any action at this point.

Thanks andamanhunk,

"So send in your full documents as soon as possible" was for applicants who are still preparing the full docs. Hope I didn't create any confusion.

@Sherya, you don't have to send anything unless requested.

I hope for those who have received the 2nd AOR, the e-cas status changes to RBVO ( lol, i knw its wishful thinking ! )

Although, e-cas is not very accurate, but it would be nice to see some progress.

Like, other have said here, I am also waiting to see if I am asked some documents.

Eg. Two of my FD's matured a month after sending full documents. In my covering letter to VO, ND , I did mention that the FD's would be renewed ( or re-invested for better interest ) and the same would be forwarded to them.

Now, their 2nd AOR asks people not to send in any documents ! I am confused too !

My dilemma :

What if I dont send the updatded FD's and the VO rejects my application for lack of funds ?
Would it be right to send the FD's , althogh they clearly say nt to send any further documents unless asked for ?

As long as the POF documents that you sent along with your full docs show that you have the required amount, you should be fine. I don't think you need to send updated FD certificates, to show the increase due to maturity.

Hi ptv, Srid_a and all,

Regarding your thoughts on the different file numbers received by some of the applicants, I have few questions.

I have not received any new file number from CIO and 2nd AOR does not specify that they have created any new file number. So as per your theories, are we being considered post June 26th applicant or otherwise? Did not fully understand your thoughts on this hence would like to clarify.

Also, I was reviewing the Feb 2010 applicants for New Delhi VO and it seems that out of 15-16 applicants, only one of them have received the medical request so far. It seems that the waiting period will be long for all of us.

Can we also share the choice of city for landing/settling everyone is looking for? It may be helpful some more information and we may able to reconnect after landing?????

Regards,

There seem to be different file tracking scheme for the applications that got first AOR after Spet. 28 (post/pre June 26). We don't know what it means. Since VO is telling that applications will be processed in the order they were received, we can just wait for our turn to come.

Also, I was reviewing the Feb 2010 applicants for New Delhi VO and it seems that out of 15-16 applicants, only one of them have received the medical request so far. It seems that the waiting period will be long for all of us.

In my opinion, June - July applicants are going to receive medical requests in December-Jan. May applicants are getting their passports stamped during this period.

We (October applicants) can expect to receive Medials in March-April time frame.

Can we also share the choice of city for landing/settling everyone is looking for? It may be helpful some more information and we may able to reconnect after landing?????

Yes. good idea. Most of us are probably heading towards Toronto.
If I get visa :), I would land in Halifax/Toronto. Haven't made up my mind yet.

Friends,

I am worried because i have seen that people who received their second AOR from Delhi they have got access to Ecase while some of us dont. I have got letter saying your average processing time is 8 months. So why it is different for same time frame applicants. Isnt this thing ackward?

We are only speculating as to why some of us have new file numbers from VO while others don't.

Like Srid_a pointed out, ankit_20 got the visa today and his total time was just over a year. Going by that time line, I believe we will also get our visas in around the 12 months time frame. Granted there was a delay at CIO, but I hope CHC ND will catch up.

Remember, almost every 2nd AOR from ND says the average processing time now is 8 months after they receive the full docs. So some get it in less than 8 months. Lets hope all of us fall into the "less than 8 months" group.

Hi Srid_a and all,

i guess finally found the rite thread, was following few forums but still i am very confused. I am totally new these threads, never tried in the past. Hoping you all will help me in coping up.... Here is my situation...

i got first email on 24th June 2010 from Federal Skilled Worker Centralized Intake Office - Sydney, Nova Scotia stating they recvd my application and Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application is being recommended to the visa office for a final determination of eligibility for processing. I was given a file no. which started with B and followed by 9digits. They asked me to submit my full doc.s to VO - New Delhi within 120days (24th October 2010 roughly).

I got married on June 2nd, so wanted to add my wife as well to the process. Sent my complete doc.s along with my Wife's doc.s and marriage certificate to VO -ND, shipment was delivered to VO - ND on 16-10-2010 which is within the time limits they gave me. As i haven't heard back anything from them sent an email to 'Delhi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca' on 02-11-2010 asking if they did recieve my complete application as there was no change in the status on e-cas its forever was showing "Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete "

i recvd a reply from 're-delhi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca' on 10-Nov-2010 stating

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.
Your application as a Federal Skilled Worker, which was initially submitted to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The CIO recommended your application for further assessment at a visa office and sent you a letter requesting that you submit a complete application package to this office. We have now received your submission.

Our office has created a file for you with the file number: BXXXXXXXXX. Please note that this file number is different than the one that was assigned to you by the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. You must quote this file number in any future correspondence with our office
.

Before your application can be placed in processing, our office will make a final determination as to whether or not you are eligible for processing. If your application is not eligible for processing, you will receive a letter informing you of the reasons for the determination as well as a refund.

If your application is determined to be eligible for processing, processing will begin on a priority basis.
Applications in the Federal Skilled Worker category require an average of 8 months to process at this office.

Once your application has been assessed, you will receive further instructions from this office. Please do not contact this office to request a status update unless 8 months have passed since you submitted your complete application.
Now i am pretty confused don't know wheteher to reply them back or hold as they gave me again the same file no. stating VO has creadted a new file for me....if someone can lemme know as to wats happening in my case i would be very thankful.... sorry for making this very lengthy but hoping all would understand this is my first post so wasn't sure how to present myself. Appreciate your valuable responses.....

My guess is the 2nd AORs are system generated based on some parameters from the applications. So don't worry too much about the file number. If you are able to access e-CAS using the BXXXXX number you can track your progress there. I would advise you not to send too many case specific inquiries.

What I have seen is some applicants get new EXXX numbers, some get instructions to contact the VO in 3 months, some in 6 months and still others in 8 months. And I think there are a few in exactly the same situation as yours, the letter says they created a new file number when it is actually the same sent from CIO.

Please look at this thread also (manila applicants)

Here is another theory I found in "May 2010 applicants" thread

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/may-2010-applicants-t40510.4170.html

"dear friends
kindly tell me what is UCI number

someone told me that those applicants who have submitted their IELTS result to CIO
got the UCI # and # Starting with B*********

while those who havent submitted their IELTS to CIO got only one # i.e. B*********
is it true"
