does you second AOR states any specific time period of finalizing your application? (for example, 4- 8 months of standard processing time?)

Actually, mine does not mention any specific time period, it just says that " this refers to your applications.....bla bla..... we have now received your submission.
our office has created file for you......bla bla..
let Us know if there is a change.....so and so forth...

prepare yourself for immigration to canada..
For information about living and working in Canada.....and so on..
Foreign credentials referral office....www........
informtion on cisitzenship and...so and so forth
Thank you for your interest in canada..

Hey guys,
Since you all wait for some update on your ecase or for medica request, I thought of adding this email response from CHC, Colombo.

My application is "in process" for over 6 weeks and I just made an inquiry to see when I could expect medical. My e-case says " that they have started processing my application. while the e-case say so, this is what email response referring to my inquiry;

Dear Mr. ..........
Please be advised that the file has been paperscreened and placed in the
queue to be reviewed by the officer.
___________________________________________________________________

So guys, "In process" could also mean that an application can still be held in the queue for reviewed by VO. So, for those who have their applications " in process" may still be in reviewing stage. that means, long waiting time!

I have applied under FSW2 on 12th of March-10. My status is showing "Received by Visa Office". Unfortunately I missed one call from CHC New Delhi today. Telephone Number was "+911141782000". Again they dialled my residence number and enquired about my name, spouse name, Reason Official/Personal of my visit to Canada in 2007, ask about my company name and from which company I applied Visa (The name of the company was differ as I had received invitation on company which was our group company but I am working in different company). My wife has given satisfactory reply and the lady has also told to my wife that I am not picking my mobile. I called on that number and reception lady told me that who soever called you he/she will call you again after some time. But I did not receive any call from them?

What you people say I am being checked background? On what stage they checked it after completing review of my file/docs? Does this background check means I am eligible for processing? Then why my stats is showing "Received by Visa Office".

One more thing would they call me again? What are the chances of my P.R.?

My wife has used Word "Branch" instead of "Group Company" for which I got invitation letter from Visa, does it make any bad effect?

Kindly give your kind suggestions/views?

congrats your case is moving.this is the first case i have seen (of any march applicant)has got any news/V.Call. I think They have not updated your E-Status to "In Process" but V.Call Comes only in Back ground Check("In Process"). means for sure your status will be updated on next monday/tuesday.

me and hunker has "In Process" Status since 12 th april(Doc Sub: 4 March 2010) but no V.Calls,No Latter.

your update is good sign for us.

I got call missed exactly at 4:16 pm and she immediate called at my residence number on 4:17 and talked about 2 minutes as I got call from residence at 4:19 pm.
