We received your application for permanent residence on February 22, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 30, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Buffalo office. They are pending review.

We transferred your application to the Buffalo office on April 7, 2010. The Buffalo office may contact you.

This is waht my status is. I am still waiting for the MR.

Well my situation is a little different because I applied under the self-employed category, and from the US. The rules are there that all documents must be sent with the application, so there's only one AOR. But I went "in process" approximately 3 weeks after that AOR, the MR came about 6 months after going in process, and the passport request came about 3 weeks after the medicals were received.

This does seem extremely fast, especially since the CIC website quotes 21 months as the average for 80% of applications to be processed. So we were caught very much by surprise.

However, I've noticed in another thread (that I think mainly deals with people applying through New Delhi) that some applications are going just as fast, if not faster. There's one guy there who got through it in 6 months I think. So things do seem to be moving very rapidly now for at least some applicants - hopefully you too!

BTW, E-cas has been not terribly reliable in our case. For example, we got the passport request by email today, but Ecas still doesn't even show medicals received!

I only hope they haven't made a mistake.... ???

oh i see...you got different case...but still you are lucky to be in process...so fast..anyway thanks for letting us know...sometimes we envy you..bec. we all waited for so long...buffalo really ...was the slowest in the world..Hope they do something about this..instead of 17 months now its shows 19 months...to be process..But we are still thankful atleast moving forward...

I'm sure you will. It's not just my case. If you read some of the other threads, you'll see that some timelines have been going even faster than this. Sometimes as much as 15% faster. So hopefully the speed increase is global across all of CIC. Fingers are crossed for you!

We're hoping to find something around Hamilton. Our landing is set for early July, so that's where we'll start looking. Seems like an interesting place to live.
