Are you sure about that? Can you provide any link to the CIC website which states this or any other reference?

Because I did my meds on 11-May-2015 and finally completed re-medicals on 13-Aug-2015 (due to MR furtherance request). Got TLU on 14-Oct and still waiting for PPR. So the visa should be valid from the last date (re-medicals) otherwise it will give applicants like myself very less time for landing.

Any primary reason for issuing PPR at slowest pace from warsaw??
May be waiting is too long yet..

For applicants who have done only one medical test, then it is valid for 12 months from the date of their medical test.

If people have done a re-medical, then it would be bizzare and completely illogical to say "1 year from the date of 1st medical" because it doesn't make sense. Sounds ridiculous. What you have said would make the re-medical pointless!

So, going by what you have said, if the visa is issued after the first medical expires (and when the second medical has been done), then what happens? From what you have said, that applicant's visa will ALREADY HAVE BECOME INVALID and he cannot land in Canada because his first medical has already expired.

Could you please clarify this?

Hey thanks Rohan for your feedback, They say its 10 months from the medicals that we need to land incountry, is this not true? Please can you provide a reference on the cic website where they say that its before the visa expiry date?
My family will be travelling alone while I remain in Canada, thinking to take a tourist visa for my mom so that she can accompany them, is this possible?

Thanks and Regards,
Aveen
Your VISA is valid for 1 year from your Meds done date. So you can plan that way.
Tourist Visa you can take anytime for anyone, not at all a problem, just make sure you have return tickets booked for your mom to prove to immigration while traveling that she will be return back soon. They generally pose such questions.

Hello Friends,

I am glad to announce that I received my PPR yesterday(17th Nov). Sorry for the delay in notifying!
Basically I'm a Nov 28, 2014 applicant with MR of 08th May 2015 and TLU of 10th Jun 2015.
My last document of FBI PCC was received by VO on 13th Aug.
Feeling lot relieved now after the long wait!
Thank each one of you in this forum and pray that all of you receive the much anticipated golden mail at the earliest. All the best friends!

Hey experts,
I need help. I am an august 2014 applicant with no MR and Aor from January 2015. I just received the GCMS notes and they have not started anything. I had the second line update in August 2015.
There are no due dates and it is 50 pages. The person updating is Sadmin. Did anyone have the same officer as me?
Please help.

Hi jj_ind, Congrats on your PPR :)

Are you a NDVO to Warsaw transferred applicant or was WVO your initial visa office?

Cheers,

Hi rajkamalmohanram / Lazy Boy

I have seen couple of discussion forums in this regard and I was with the opinion that 1 year time starts from first medical.. I don't remember which forum it is.. the applicants were identified as TB infected and were undergoing 6 months treatment and by that time they cleared their medicals, their medicals results were about to expire.. they have been give 2 options by CIC, either to land before expiry date or they will be sent a request for re assessment of medicals, in case they are unable to land within that short gap...

However I referred CIC website , it is clearly states that 1 year time starts from Last medical assessment on our file...

Still I am not clear how they will calculate in case of medical furtherance for dependants...

Sadmin is not a person but system admin kind of name. There may be some backend process which updates this and so is the title of sadmin.

On page 1 0r 2 of your GCMS you wil have a section called Application assignment

which will have Assigned to , assigned by and due date as sub heading.

thats the date we need to see.

Hope this helps.

Medical certificates for applicants who pass a medical examination in or outside Canada are valid for twelve months from the date of the last medical assessment of an applicant’s file by a medical officer and/or delegated staff.

There is no expiry date of medical validity for applicants who are inadmissible.

Starting Date for Calculating the 12 Month Validity Period of a Medical Certificate: the last medical assessment on file is the starting date for the 12 month validity of a medical certificate.

So what I understand from "the last medical assessment on file" is after CIC is notified about the latest medical, 12 months is considered from the date when the latest medical test was taken.

But in case of more than one applicant is on file and only one had re-medical :

Visa validity will be till 1 yr from the first completed medical date.

This has been confirmed in one of the case where first medical was in may, re meds in aug and visa is issued till may 16 only.

Strange. CIC s rules are very cumbersome to understand. Damn!!!!
