How can I cross check if they have received the hard copies or not ? Do I need to send them an email given in the MR request email that I received or do I need to raise a CSE. Please advise.

Hi Chirag,

you can cross check with your courier service provider at this stage.

I got MR on 9th May and TLU 27th May.. so almost around 90 days after MR i got DM & PPR.

I think you should wait for more some days....

Seniors please suggest...

Thanks.

Hello friends,

My MR was requested on June 2nd 2015; docs sent on June 16, 2015 and medicals done on 22 June 2015. As I had leg injury before medicals, there had been an enquiry by the visa officer to the Doctor who had done my medicals. Finally TLU was on 7 July, 2015.

Please help me with a rough idea by when can i expect the next step.

Appreciate your help, thanks.

Hello,
I think the other important date that we need to consider in addition to the TLU, is when our PCCs reached WVO. I don't think MR date is much relevant for those awaiting PPR/DM. Of the 2 dates (TLU and PCC-reached-date), we should use the later of the two dates to determine how long we have have been waiting.

In my case, my MR was 09-May, TLU was 29-May and PCC-reached date was 11-June. So I would say I have been waiting for 62 days, since 11-June. And FYI, I have 3 PCCs: India, Saudi Arabia and UAE. If my understanding is correct, the general processing time for this stage is between 60 and 90 days.

What do you think?

Its Third line update TLU or Docs reached date, whichever later.

Consider timeframe of upto 90 days from that date for your DM/PPR.

That is the average processing time for DM/ PPR

Friends, I know it might sound totally silly to some of you but can there be inquiry by ndvo after dm and ppr issued by wvo? or ndvo simply stamps visa and issue copr?

Actually, as I am having wide responsibility area in employment, I have to give notice of resignation to my employer in much advance. It will take couple of months for me to deal with all the work in process.

Bhai, how come there will be any inquiry by NDVO, when the Decision is already Made on your file :D :D

Technically I have time till February, 2016 only coz my passport will expire somewhere in august, 2016 and I need to leave before 6 months of expiry date of passport.

Now February is not a sensible idea for Canada will be too cold by then. At least from employment view point its not advisable. I do not prefer December to February for landing which leaves me for Mid October to Late November.

If you planned so settle in Canada how much difference it will make by avoiding 1 winter. Prepare yourself for that weather and prioritize on your job search. Look for the period when most of hirings are done. And do not consider weather at this moment(it is just an advice ;) )

Hi forumites,

Can anyone help me with the procedure to procure FBI clearance certificate? Can we approach FBI approved channellers? They can get the reports faster in a week as compared to giving it to FBI directly where they take close to 3 months. I am given only 90 days.

Also it's been more than 10 yrs since I have lasted visited USA.. I have forgotten my SSN , is it mandatory to provide SSN ?

Will appreciate your reply!
You should get the FBI PCC directly from FBI. CIC website clearly mentions that along with the procedure to obtain one. It takes around 3 months time. Yes in the application form they do ask for SSN.

I know process about applying for FBI clearance within USA. you need to check for local office where you can get your fingerprints done and then go to FBI website and download form for FBI clearance, get a cheque from USPS for said amount and mail it to FBI office. FBI will take about 3-4 months for issuing clearance certificate so inform CIC that you will not be able to submit PCC(from USA) in 90 days and request more time.

If you need more details, do let me know i can search it again and send it across.

Thanks, Harkirat
