You should get the FBI PCC directly from FBI. CIC website clearly mentions that along with the procedure to obtain one. It takes around 3 months time. Yes in the application form they do ask for SSN.

I think you can retrieve your SSN number from previous years Income Tax returns. Or you may have copy of your SSN in your email or so.

Almost same timelines and i raised an ECAS and got DM and PPR in 10 days. So believe me it on its way in max a weeks time. see my timelines ....got PPR today

My Ecas updated today and I have a second line "We started processing your application on March 17, 2015".
I also received email yesterday from Colombo visa office. They wrote that my job duties mentioned on the Job letter does not match with the lead statements of the NOC. So they gave me 30 days to provide additional information to prove that I perform duties mentioned in the NOC. So can I request letter from my ex-employer with detailed job duties and send it to CVO? Do you know if this will work ? I already submitted offer letter and relieving letter to them.

Thanks for the info. Why I asked this question is I raised a CSE yesterday on Warsaw office and today they replied that all my documents have been received and my file has been transferred to Delhi Office and they will take the final decision. They also informed that background checking is still ongoing.


No this raises two questions:
1. Am I going to get PPR mail from Delhi office?
2. What background checks are left now?


Has anyone faced this situation?

Got a reply in 1 hour stating ...'Good Morning ,please wait for our final decision'

Yes. Please do it on priority basis. A detailed letter from employer stating your duties. If possible qualifications required. Experience required and education required for the role.

Second line update : 15th Mar 2015
Medicals request : 27th May 2015
Third line update : 13th June 2015

Technically I have time till February, 2016 only coz my passport will expire somewhere in august, 2016 and I need to leave before 6 months of expiry date of passport.

Now February is not a sensible idea for Canada will be too cold by then. At least from employment view point its not advisable. I do not prefer December to February for landing which leaves me for Mid October to Late November.

Now that is a problem and you have answered it yourself. You will have to plan accordingy.
