When did you submit your passport?

Hi,

I am C.A. and with 10 years of experience in corporate finance with listed company.

Is anyone from our forum who is C.A. from ICAI and planning to do CPA there? Do you know the process to enrol for the course and the exemption indian CA can get?

Thanks in advance..

Firstly Congrats , along with passports you will also need a copy of PPR mail to be submitted to VFS office. If your consultant had send you the email than you can send it directly, if not than I am afraid you can't. I am not quite sure about your second question, but I think its no harm in sending both the passports if in case your old pass is still active. At Rprf stage did you provide them with copies of both your old and new passports ? If yes than send both passports.

i have received the PPR email from my consultant.

At the time of application i had send copies of both old and re -issued PPs for me and my spouse and copy of my son's PP then.

At the time of Rprf i had send copies of only re-newed PPs for me and my spouse and copy of old and renewed PP of my son as we had reissued the same during the mean time.

Sadly, there is no specific exemption for Indian CAs.

Moreover, the website of CPA Canada is not quite friendly and informative as CPA United States.

I am planning to do CPA but man its very costly compared to US CPA.

Dear Patel Bro...check with ICAI if they have any MoU with Canadian CA/ CPA institute. You can get exemptions if there is any MoU between two institutes. Or else you have to start from the scratch :-X

True Bluestone. U too CA??

Their website is not user friendly and don't mention clear requirement for indian CA. as per my knowledge, ICAI has signed MOU with Canadian CA institute few years back and accordingly indian CA can get exemption. But still it is not clearly mentioned after merging of 3 institutes in canada.
