With Gods grace, I have received a PPR email from Warsaw VO yesterday evening which says that I have to submit my passport in 30 days time from the date of this email.
But DM is still not updated.

Please guide me as to how much time does the VFS Delhi office takes to return the passport with PR VISA stamped on it after its submission.
And when will the DM get update on ECAS !!

Can't say much about DM status. It should be updated in a week's time at the max. VFS delhi will take around 10 working days due to student visa rush, otherwise it is usually 7 days. I submitted my passports yesterday. Waiting for COPR and Visa to be stamped.

Got a question friends....I have a 7 yr old daughter...class 2. After landing should she join school immediately or can take some time to join. Cause this decision is very important, as I can only decide the city after getting a job. If she can join school later, I can take family when I leave, find a job, and move there. Can some one guide

PPR - 5th Aug
D.M- Not yet.

As per what i assume and the trend going on PPR/DM will come within 75 to 80 days from Tlu, some applications might take little longer also ..
Hope everyone will get PPRS / D.M very soon

Need to know if there is any requirement of minimum amount of funds/proof of funds we need to carry along when we land. I read somewhere that we can not carry more than CAD 10K.

you can carry any amount up to 100,000 CAD.

The only thing is till 10,000 you don't need to declare, but anything above that you need to declare. its always better to carry at least the minimum required fund asked by CIC.

For any further clarification please go through CIC website as well CBSA We site.

You can carry upto 25k CAD without mentioning it to immigration dept.....more that this amount if u r carrying then u need to mention it...... If u r going alone then u have to carry CAD 12k.... in for of travellers cheque, card or any other liquid form...... In Pearson Airport they may ask u about proof of funds

Negotiable instruments in bearer form (for example, bankers’ drafts, cheques, travelers’ cheques or money orders)
