But CIC is asking for PCC and not PVC... ?

Clearance is different from Verification... PVC may be relevant for JObs and other purpose but it may not be a clearance...

Need some clarity on this.. can anyone Pl.. ?

My friend and his wife already got PR and they submitted PVC.

I fail to understand why so much discussion regarding Police Certificate when CIC clearly mentioned where to go for Police Certificate.

What is the title of certificate you have received from Police.... I believe it may not be PCC...

Pl reply... !

It is Police Verification Certificate issued by Office of Commissioner of Police.

There is a separate question for Express Entry candidate on CIC. If it were only for Express Entry Candidates, why did they mentioned express entry separately?

By the way Did your mail ask for Police Clearance Certificate or Police Certificate?

In CIC site, it is mentioned that name of document as "Police Clearance Certificate"....

It is mentioned as "Police Certificate" does not mean that PCC is invalid. It is equally valid.

But after 26th May, Police Certificate has to be issued by District Police Station if you are outside Delhi and PCC is issued by RPO.

Did you check who is supposed to issue it?? I am sure its not RPO if you are out side delhi.

It your decision what you want to send to Warsaw. Whatever you send, my best wishes are always with you.

Lots of confusion related PCC PVC. Am I too be blamed? :P :P

I guess both have the same purpose, only the names are different since the issuing authority is different.

lolzz...yeah I guess last 4-5 pages are PCC vs PVC...!!

but people are arguing for the name. No one is concentrating on Issuing Authority. It is District Police Station.

For Punjab, there is specific instruction for SSP office. But for other than Punjab and Delhi, instruction is to go to District Police Station.

I agree it is very small issue.. but some applicants like me fall under rural district police, where you have to follow up a lot with them to get PCC...

For us it is easy to get it from PSK , but requires lot of followup from District police as there are no clear instructions or system that are followed there..

And moreover, my consultant told that it is not required for FSW 2014 and I am really confused now.. as any wrong step should not lead to rejection of my file..

Can we conclude that,

PCC (PSK) = PVC(Police Station).

However, in states other than Delhi, PCC issued is no longer valid for migration to Canada ( From 26th MAY).

I can understand. I suggest you start both the processes simultaneously. How much time do you have to get Police Certificate?

I have already sent my Police Certificate to VO so I do not have that kind of option.

I guess this seems proper. Friends any more suggestions or comments? This will help other fellow members.
