Guys..

It is not 300 quota, It is internal news that the total quota for each NOC would be 500 per occupation..

If CIC update that they have got 300 files doest mean they have accepted 300 file, they might have more than 300 but certainly not below 300!

keep hopes and send your file, till they dont update the wesite.

the reason for not updating the CIC status of application received is because they want more files upto 500 atleast! and this is true.

Re: NEWS FSWP-TOTAL QUOTA INCREASE 500 PER OCCUPATION

Not a good idea to spread rumors, my friend, if you can't back it up with some written news !!

Not true. The cap is 300 per category.

The reason why the status hasn't been updated is the same reason it hasn't been updated in previous years. It takes CIC a month+ to complete the initial assessment and verify that applications are complete before adding them to the totals for each NOC. Again, what is happening this year is no different than what happened last time. I believe last time the status updates weren't updated until around two months after the applications started being accepted.

Whoever told you that 500 applications are being accepted per NOC is making things up.

here's my understanding on the matter :

1. since some of the applications will get rejected (unfortunate for those applicants) who haven't submitted all the necessary documents or their fees can't processed, CIO would consider little more than 300 applicants .. sort of buffer for rejections. I'm not sure what could be the size of this buffer

2. Even if they were to raise cap to 500, it doesn't make a big diff.. say, 1 more week of applications for the hot categories. Pls understand "# of Applications received at CIO" v/s "time" would follow an exponential curve rather than linear :)
