Thank you Kimchi!

They will reply after 60 days. Sa case ko nagpadala na ko ng email nung Jan. 13 and Jan. 30, so by march and april may balita na ako kung sakali wala akong mareceive na PER.

Iba iba, theory ng iba per NOC daw, theory ng iba depende sa handling officer.

Hello Seniors,

Question po. I am Dec. 5 applicant and got charge last Jan.28 but still haven't received our PER. As of now Dec.9 applicants already getting their PERs. I called CIC this morning and they gave me my application number, checked it in ECAS and its currently in "In-Process" status. The agent mentioned that its not a good sign but didn't elaborate more on the details, also asked for our UCI # but she didnt gave it. I'm getting a little bit anxious on our current stage since we still haven't got our PER.. is there someone similar in our situation? Any advice on our next step?

Thanks in advance and God bless us all.

sakin po CC charged jan 5, nagonline ECAS ko jan 9, tas PER ko jan 29. so on average nga yata close to a month antayan for PER. don't worry darating din po yan, just pray and relax. :)

Speaking of documents, medyo madami kasi ung isinama kong payslips e as in for the past 6years ata. Tingin mo factor yon? Anyways, intay intay nlng muna. Thanks Kimchi and all the best sa application mo. :)

I doubt kung NOC kasi may naPER ng same NOC ko (2172) and same app date. Puede siguro ung handling officer baka nilalamig at inaantok hehehe. Thanks cusoonCA! :)

Goodmorning! :)

Would like to ask if it is okay to bring mp3 and video files during landing?

Chicheck ba nila smartphone or music player mo for those files? It was downloaded thru torrent.

Thank you.

Hi,

I am thinking of this as well. But got through a lot of researching and some youtube videos specifically BORDER SECURITY CANADA. It has a lot of episodes showing different individuals with diff nationalities. There was a time a Filipino PR was shown as well. Di lahat ng pumapasok sa Canada chine-check nila but they do randomly. And they will be very meticulous if you will be one of them. They can ask you to open everything including your laptop and hard drive contents.

As for the concern, since torrent downloads are well considered, not legal but of course we don't have the intention to sell it. I have a lot of movies downloaded as well. But i have made up my mind to delete them all once were on the landing stage. I'll just keep photos on our hard drive. Nandun na tayo papasok, whatever we can avoid that could lead in adverse situation, better just avoid them. I think we can DL naman din once we have our own internet connection there.

These are just my honest opinion po..

All the best ;)

Hi, allow me to chip in.. I got my PER late as i expected as well. When most of my same dated applicants were receiving their good news, i got it around 2weeks + after them. 1month after i was charged. I do believe case to case factors are of the NOC's and of course different officers handling.

And do take note po, the email response from CIC will be the most accurate answer you will get. Since they will state in their email that they have sent your file to VO or worst case is they returned due to any particular reason (but we we don't want the latter). They do reply around 60+days.

Praying continuously bro.. it will help a lot. God bless sa application and to all of us.. :)

Bro, not sure about that as for the mp3's on the smartphone, players or ipods. but i think it will not be much concern on that. May nakita lang kasi ako one of the episodes, na may na random check sila but it was not a first time immigrant, he was a US citizen crossing the border and was an elderly man. They opened his laptop and external hard drives suspecting na baka daw meron cyang mga pornographic videos specifically "minors".. so binusisi talaga, in the end CBSA did not find anything, so they let him go.

Mas better to be on the safe side lang since bago pa tayo in the country, baka kasi if ever magkaroon na kagad ng adverse records. Hope it helps.. ;)
