It's better to be safe than sorry. ;)

God bless po sa atin lahat at see you in canada...

Wala po ba sa Australia na kapag nawalan kayo ng work, for one year, half of your annual salary from your previous job will be provided by the government. Sa Canada po kasi merong ganun yung mga kakilala ko nung nawalan sila ng work dahil sa layoff or sudden termination

not true..i did not received any except child allowance which not enough to survive...very expensive city...350K dollar is only for lot price, in CA you will have a nice house..hehe

Hello guys,

In generic application form, under Contact Information, question # 5 asks for a fax no. There are two boxes to choose from: canada/US and Others. I don't have a fax no., can I just leave both boxes unchecked ? I'm afraid that leaving boxes unchecked might mean not completing the form. What did you do? just leave them unchecked? Pls help!

Do you mind sharing sir kung san city kayo sa oz? Im wondering tuloy if how much ang minimum salary jan na you can live comfortably.

Hi Everyone,
Pag nasend mo ang mga documents, paano ang mode of communication with immigration? Paano mo matatrack ang application mo. Do they have an online facility to track at kung may ibibigay na reference sa yo. Paano mo malalaman na natanggap na nila yung documents? Meron po bang may alam ng complete status/ stage of application?

Maraming salamat. I just saw that my credit is valid until January next year. Anyone who've experience different payment mode?

same case tayo, my card naman will expire this July, meron pa ko ibang credit cards pero opted to use demand draft kasi walang kasiguraduhan yung sa credit card, there's a chance that they can decline it daw eh kasi sa Canada manggaling yung transaction, called the bank mismo.

Maybe we can asked other others na gumamit na ng credit card before for FSW application, baka may suggestion kayo sa iba kung aling credit card yung gumana at inaccept without the need of prompting them.

I used demand draft.. BPI lang ata ang nag-aaccept ng CAD conversion for the bank draft. You can get sa Ayala branch, kasi need ata 2 signatories. Ang requirement lang is meron ka dapat BPI account, then you can deposit there yung CAD550 = around PHP 23k, then punta ka lang bank and tell them you need a demand draft for "The Receiver General for Canada" nasa instructions yung exact name ng ilalagay sa bank draft. Then they will use current conversion para kunin rate, tapos may konting charge lang of few hundred pesos. The process takes about 45 minutes to 1 hr, medyo masinsin yung pagpprepare ng bank draft.

if ever di pumasok application, babalik naman yung application package mo with the demand draft, pede mo sya i-encash pabalik to peso sa BPI also. ang risk lang kapag di bumalik, goodbye 550 CAD. hehe.

ang alam ko may expiration ang DD...
certain months lang for the recipient to encash the amount... security feature ata yun...
if hindi nagamit babalik yun sa account mo after 1 month of expiration... yun sabi nung taga bpi... ang nalimutan ko itanong is yung validity nung DD... pero sabi nila 3months-6months ata... parang nabasa ko sya sa intl thread...

correct me if I'm wrong... kasi parang ang labo naman kung di na babalik yun once magexpire yung cheke or di naman nagamit...

Si KitsuneDream ata credit card gamit. So safest ang bank draft? Sorry not familiar with bank draft, so kung application submission mo is June 2012, pag sinabi mo ba sa BPI, dapat valid ung Bank draft hanggang December 2014?

metrobank also issues demand draft in CAD. auto debit ito kaya you need to have an account na and funds para dun sa draft.

The Receiver General for Canada".

Pero kung may pinoprovide yung school na english translation, kailangan pa po ba yung affidavit from the person who completed the translation?

So safe na yun pag kumuha ka sa Metrobank for immigration purpose. Yung bank draft will be included in your documents na ipapadala sa Canada right?

to be safe sir. magrequest ka ng demand draft just before you submit yung application.. sabi sa guideline, dapat wala pang 3 months yung demand draft mo to be safe.. if you're planning to take this route and you don't have bpi or metrobank account pa, open ka na muna kasi you need atleast a week old account per bpi nung naginquire ako. sa metrobank kasi payroll ko un kaya un na ginamit ko
