We are planning to migrate to Canada. As per advise, mas ok daw kung mag agency ako para may tutulong sakin or kaya naman ba self service na lang.

Most of us in the forum are not under an agency.. karamihan ay DIY lng, like me.. we learn more in the forum by asking, reading and posting here. I guess if you will just read the instruction from CIC website you can do it by yourself. And when you have question you can freely post and ask us here.. (as in free of charge unlike in agencies).. But still it's all up to you, if you can afford and you don't have a lot a time to read and research then I suggest to have a consultant.

Hi cadream,

You have options for that:
1. Renew and send the new pp. That is, if you can wait that long to comply your PPR.
2. Submit the expiring pp. Upon receiving the stamped pp, you renew. You will bring both pp when you travel.
3. Call dfa and inquire for pp validity extension. If this works, then I guess it's best to extend rather than renew.

Yes po May 2014 applicant po kami. Super tagal talaga sa amin, we've been ups and downs. But thank God tuloy pa rin ang laban. Now PPR na kmi. Patience lng talaga po and lots and lots of prayers.

For those based in Cebu, which clinic do you recommend? How was your experience? Did you have to set an appointment? Would appreciate your thoughts (got our MR + RPRF today). Thanks!

There's only one affiliated clinic, Nationwide. Cebu Doc is no longer serving med exams for Canada.

Be there before 7am, have your name listed on guard's logbook. No appointment needed. The clinic opens at 8 am. You will finish before noon. Before going home, the staff will inform you of your urine, blood, and x-ray results.

Be sure to prepare:
1. Medical certificate for existing medical conditions, if applicable.
2. MMR vaccine certificate.
3. 2 passport-sized photo
4. Photocopy and orig pp
5. The medical forms
6. Cash

Thanks for the reply. That gave me hope, coz until now wala pa rin e-mail or MR from CEM. Mine is going 13 months from the date I applied and 9 months from PER. You are right, patience talaga at matinding dasal sa Itaas... Alam ko darating na rin and MR ko... Please pray for me and my family forummates. Napaka helpful talaga ng site na to, full of positivity....Thanks fellow Pinoys and hopeful Canadians!

Hi, you have the same expiry date with my husband's passport. In our PPR, it was stated there that the validity date of our passport should be at least six months beyond the visa validity (ours is aug 2016). So we decided to renew the passport. It was renewed last Sept 19 and tentative release date is Dec 2, 2015 (THAT LONG!!!)

Hi bro,

Yes, we had our PDOS on that same vacation. Grab na lang namin since napadaan kami sa Cebu and walk-in lang dun. But for the concern sa immigration from Pinas pabalik dito sa SG. As i had mentioned na tinanong lang ako, and di nman nya nakita yunh PDOS sticker sa pp yung Canadian Visa lang.

Since dito naman kayo from SG going directly to Canada. The PDOS will have no effect, since dun lang yun hahanapin sa pinas immig check point.

This is just my opinion bro, but nasa sayo and decision kung anu ang best.

hi... medical exam and payment of RPRF lang hiningi. pero nagpadala na din kami ng new NBI clearance kasi may nabanggit sa letter about that and pa expire na yung kasama ng application ko.
Sa ECAS ko naman, may 6 numbers/statements na don. alin po don ang SLU and TLU?

Bro slu means second line update, that's no. 2 of ur ecas
tlu pertains to third line - that's no. 3

it means you are already on the sixth line update - Slu rin.. hehehe
