I'm no expert, but can tell you that this is a niche field. This doesn't include accountants, auditors, investment bankers, corporate finance guys, brokers, dealers, consultants, IT related finance professionals, traders/agents but purely investment or financial analysts - in short, very niche!

This is also a high paying profession - so unless people cheat their titles and apply, there won't be many in 1112.(this is for India I mean)

I'm no expert, but can tell you that this is a niche field. This doesn't include accountants, auditors, investment bankers, corporate finance guys, brokers, dealers, consultants, IT related finance professionals, traders/agents but purely investment or financial analysts - in short, very niche!

This is also a high paying profession - so unless people cheat their titles and apply, there won't be many in 1112.(this is for India I mean)

Curious to know why you think investment bankers do not make the cut for this role - in my view this is cut out for investment bankers - and will see many applying. The role description asks for people "providing financial and investment or financing advice for their company or their company's clients...in areas such as takeover bids, private placements, mergers or acquisitions." Think that pretty much fits I-bankers....

I can understand the anxiety among potential NOC1112 applicants under FSW. Ever wondered what will be the job prospectus in Canada and more so salary levels (assuming, you get PR and land up there, going for job hunt).. what if you end taking a junior level analyst role or almost like starting career from a scratch .. compared it with what your currently doing in your job/ home country !!

I am in confusion regarding my application.

I started my career as a Financial Analyst back in 2009 January and promoted to Senior Executive and quit that Asset Management Company last September. I prepared Equity researches, Fundamental & Technical analysis,IPO Related tasks,Mutual Fund operation etc.

Now I am working in a Multinational Bank where I am responsible for different kind of finance activities ( Distinctive than Financial Analyst). For Example: I am currently working on budget preparation, Risk Management Paper preparation, Stress Testing,MIS reporting related task and submit report to Central bank and Group.

I am in doubt whether my current job description would send me in disadvantageous position whereas I have almost all the necessary qualification of Financial Analyst and also have the Financial Analyst experience of around 3 years 9 months.

I would appreciate if someone can help me also on the below phenomenon.

In Generic Application Form there is a field for Intended Occupation, I am a Finance guy and also a Website & Graphic Designer. Can i insert Financial Analyst and Computer programmers and interactive media developers as my intended occupation on that form?

I have been a banker in India and Canada and have worked for over 10 years. NOC 1112 is not all that limited. Financial Analysts are eligible and so are wealth managers who have worked with corporates/government in investment advisory etc.

Look at the sub classification titles for NOC 1112 on HRSDC web site. and even this list is not all that encompassing and you could still argue for a case whose job titles are not included here. People whose job titles are there on this list (link below) can definitely apply. I think the cap would be reached soon. Maybe this week or latest by next.

For sending courier from India use UPS

FEDEX and Bluedart/DHL do not have a remote location classification for delivery to Sydney. They do not charge extra and do not make extra efforts to push the package.

UPS classifies Sydney as remote and charge INR 1000 extra and promise to deliver the package on the 4th day or money back guarantee. They have a local tie up with Purolator for delivery. Sometimes they are able to deliver the package on the third day as well.


I did some research before sending my package so I though of sharing it with everyone.
