no one knows exactly how they do the verification.
if it's about medical they verify the report in local vo and also at Ottawa.
if its about documents there are types of verification.
basic document verification where they check the documents along with the data in the application form.
telephone verification which is done by calling educational institutions and work places etc. They are not doing educational verification since it's done by wes or icas.
physical verification which is done by a third party ususlly a detective agency or sort of where they visit for example your work place and check. They usually speak with your employer and you separately and simultaneously.
then criminal background check. No idea for me how they do it.
so far cvo is very lenient they are doing only the basic document check.
whereas ndvo, lvo, wvo etc are doing all sorts of verification for random and doubtful cases.
if the file is transferred for third party verification it will take more thsn 6 months and upto one year for them to start processing it after AOR.

HII... i paid RPRF fee today using my card and a receipt was sent by cic to mail and it is instructed to take a print and send back to cvo. but i am really confused of it. my first question is due i need to fill up anything elase in that receipt. in the space for name, my name is there automatically . but it has space for client date of birth, client id no, address, postal code, area code and telephone number...do i need to fill up these?
and also should i send a paper copy of the receipt to cvo or whether i can send that receipt as email to them...
pls advice... i am really confused.

Hi Jergens,

1. Send acknowledgement email to your VO email id about your payment.. instructions mentioned in the email itself.

just for your reference pasting the instructions

You may pay your RPRF online. Instructions on how to pay your fees can be found at: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en. Once you have completed your online payment, please retain a copy of the receipt and forward the confirmation of payment to the following e-mail address: Colombo-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca. The e-mail to our office must include the following information:

Subject line: Payment for [insert your immigration file number]

Body: Given/family names and date of birth of the principal applicant."

2.You have to fill details like applicant's DOB, UCI number in the printout. You should attach it with all the docs like Medical receipts, Ack from hospital, PCC, etc.. and send it physically to your VO. Address must be mentioned in the email itself.

according to the updates from our forum mates there have been no third-party or telephone verification so far.
trust me those verifications are not at all a good thing.
Be positive you will get your medical request shortly.
Its been said that only uncomplicated files had been transferred to cvo.
patience is the key now

hey thanks.. this one is really helpful info..

SOME VERY USEFUL INSIGHT BY A FELLOW FRND FROM ANOTHER FORUM - MIGHT GIVE SOME CLARITY TO PEOPLE WITH DECISION MADE BUT NO PPR TILL NOW -

I feel many applicants will receive DM and then PPR may take some time. The logic behind the statement is based on 2 factors
1. NDVO will clear all its existing files of September Week 1 applicants (Applications post that were transferred to Colombo and Warsaw). Therefore it will be all ready to process the PPR of applicants transferred to these VO's.

2. There were many appicants who received DM in May and June but didn't receive PPR email. This again concludes that Warsaw only issues PPR when NDVO gives a green signal for the processing of PPR.

Also the applicants who received DM/ PPR till dates either belong to a NOC which is currently in high demand in Canada. Some of these applications were from Nepalese applicants whose applications were fast tracked due to the recent earthquakes.

Now coming to the final point. I believe that Security checks are done in batches and not single applications. These were again delayed due to three factors.
1. Introduction of Bill C 31 which may have changed the way screening is conducted by CSIS for immigration purposes. This might have brought an overhaul of the process thereby delaying or prolonging the process.
2. Recent attacks on Federal IT infrastructure which included the systems used by CSIS and CIC.
3. Recent national holidays in Canada

To sum it all up, in my opinion all the above factors have caused the delay in processing our applications.

Come ON CVO!!! Today is Tuesday!!
