That’s what happens when there is no responsibility taken.
They can do whatever they want to and yet nobody is responsible for anything in the end.

but above everything we are humans isn't it? We at least have some self-respect, isn't it? Whatever is happening is a mere tragedy and a totally unfortunate situation. Keeping approved files on hold for more than 1.5 years and even after the travel ban is lifted is brutal and ruthless.

To be honest, we can also decide to vote by foot. Its pretty strong answer.

Australia is recruiting highly skilled folks for their GTI program : https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/vis...-innovation/global-talent-independent-program . See if folks qualify for it and it can be an alternative. Best part? Once they invite you, you can get your visa processed in 1 month flat.

Technation UK visa. Again seeking highly skilled. If you qualify, they are happy to process your visa in 1-2 months flat. https://technation.io/visa/ . I am personally going to apply here. Edinburg is cheaper to live than Metro-BC. Who knew!

Admittedly, there will some work to get your visa underway but these are options and those who fit in them should give them a serious thought. Best way to respond to a non-responsive entity is to walk away and tell all those who care to listen.
GTI requirements are tight, Very few can meet them. It’s not easy as - do masters, gain experience, get all 8s.

I have met GTI requirements, it is not impossible, slightly harder. I am working on UK Tech nation visa which is slightly harder further. I personally like UK option because more cities in UK feel affordable to the nightmare that is Australia and Canadian real estate has become.

Bottomline, if you are an experienced worker with decent creds, Canada is not the end of the options. If you are a young worker trying to make a place for yourself, do not get dishearted if there is a delay... By boosting your profile a bit more options can open.

It is highly likely that this backlog is related to unemployment rates but who knows.

Do you think we can sue IRCC? That will get heard for sure and they will have to publicly answer some questions. How much would it cost anyway? Honestly, I am happy to throw in $5K just for the sake of hearing some news about FSW. Not joking. Anyone with some legal background here?

There is more of a labor crisis in Canada and less of an unemployment crisis. Lots of businesses feeling pain due to lack of workers.

Yeah, that's what I used to think too... but their actions speak otherwise. Everything they do is just a means to an end... they don't care about the consequences.
