InterestingI must say at least Australia is upfront about its complete disregard for offshore aspirants.
They have made it clear that offshore applicants won’t be invited unless working in healthcare.
“Oh FSW we have paused draws for now - we’ll get back to you later “Canada itself has said it continues to actively process immigration applications from those within Canada and Spousal sponsorships.
Not sticking up for them but I doubt any country will give conclusive timelines for when applications/processing will begin with the ever changing reality of the present world.
Pretty sure either of those two messages wouldn't pacify the angry mob. Truth is they've backed themselves into a corner now where whatever they say (or don't say) will be used as stick to beat them with. There's also the small matter of some FSW applications being completed and others seeing small movements on their files.“Oh FSW we have paused draws for now - we’ll get back to you later “
“ oh applicants, although travel restrictions have been lifted,we are processing your applications so please be patient”.
That is not too much to ask for.
Of course that's one of the reason why we want IRCC to tell us something. Even if they are going to pull something like the visitor visas, it's in everyone's interest for them to go ahead and do it as quickly as possible, so as many people as possible still have enough points to re apply. That's why this silence is so frustrating. If they string us along another year or two and then do it, most of the people with affected applications won't have enough points to reapply.People that are extra mad seems to be the ones with active apps (rightfully so). If IRCC were to pull the kinda crap they did for Visitor visas, would you guys be reapplying or let things take their natural course (I know some people might've lost points but I'm asking the ones that can)?
Coz it seems like processing delays are primarily caused by expired docs (also, the current prioritization doesn't help). In which case, if they do conduct an FSW draw and people can submit full applications with stuff not expiring soon, I think we might see people getting their stuff approved before the backlog is fully dealt with.
Here is a backronym for everyone on this thread to remember:This thread is an emotional punching bag of the frustrated people who want to take it out because of their unrequited love for Canada - or should I say a chance for them to live a decent first-world life.
People keep recommending other paths but the truth is there are no other paths because all countries are closed right now.
At least other countries like Australia and New Zealand are honest with their candidates and didn't accept any application they knew they weren't going to process.
Canada was like - bro if you spend time and money and learn the queen's language or speak a little francais we will let you live here with us
And now we have all been ghosted. And when you do call them they give you no answers or tell you all their officers are busy as they have been sent to Afghanistan where they will each rescue an Afghani child and bring them to Canada and raise them as their own.
I think most people would forget the traumatic times in unimaginable relief of having made it to the Promised Land. It's must feel like retrograde amnesia: nobody wants to remember the bad times and make some good memories.Honestly, if we get a chance to land in Canada as a PR sometime, all of us who are waiting for so long should band up together and take some action against IRCC for wasting all this time even if it doesn't result in anything. Zero communication should be a good argument against covid delays or whatever excuse IRCC comes up with.
Right. Lets hope there’s a happy ending for all us at the end of it all.At the end of the day.... nothing last’s forever….
At the moment inland CEC applicant are enjoying their day in the sun… offshore applicants will have theirs some day….Right. Lets hope there’s a happy ending for all us at the end of it all.
CEC will always have their day as they pay to integrate to Canada. The options are 'CEC enjoying the sun' vs 'CEC enjoying the sun along with FSWs'At the moment inland CEC applicant are enjoying their day in the sun… offshore applicants will have theirs some day….
Yep… that’s what I was implying… not either or…CEC will always have their day as they pay to integrate to Canada. The options are 'CEC enjoying the sun' vs 'CEC enjoying the sun along with FSWs'
Not any longer. They should really cherish the sun while they still can.At the moment inland CEC applicant are enjoying their day in the sun… offshore applicants will have theirs some day….
