Over 20M COVID-19 vaccine doses now sitting in Canadian freezers

Canada has gone from being desperate for every dose of vaccine it could get to stockpiling millions of them in freezers across the country.

Data on vaccine deliveries, distribution and injections provided by Health Canada and the provinces show almost 22 million doses have been delivered but not yet used.

That includes a national “reserve” of nearly 10 million doses, and more than 11.7 million doses delivered to provincial and territorial governments that have yet to be administered.

Procurement Minister Anita Anand says how many of those doses can be considered excess and available for donation to other countries is still up in the air.

They should throw a party

But the vaccination rate has really plummeted in the last 2 weeks. Who noticed? I feel some people are reluctant to complete their vaccination because the provinces have opened up. Vaccine passports will be necessary to help drive up the vaccination rates

Yeah, they went from increasing over 1% per day their Eligibile population, to not even .50% daily...
Wondering if it has to do on some provinces having longer waiting time between dose one and two. Saw that BC was reducing the time between shots from 50 days to around half of that

That’s a possible reason.

Yes and currently hospitalizations are also rising though I believe that's primarily among the unvaccinated.

“By collecting responses from thousands of people, IRCC will better understand the situations that its clients are facing and when they come to Canada, which will help inform our operational planning.”

I said the same thing when the first survey email came. IRCC knows it’s going to be a tough task for them to welcome a huge number of immigrants after the travel restrictions are removed. They will use this survey to help them better plan for it.
This can also be seen as their intention to soon allow outside PRs to come to Canada.

Night guys! I was wondering.. does it change something if, after September 7, I went to Canada as tourist and inform them that I’m in Canada? Will it turn me into an inland applicant?
Hahahahaha
Things are so shitty that we start to wonder silly things o_Oo_Oo_O:oops::oops::oops::(:(:(:(

Well you would endup spending a ton of money to live there, without being able to work and no real expectation of receiving copr, since only a few FSW inland got it.

Look, current system is prioritizing CEC folks over FSW folks. Not sure if you can become a CEC applicant overnight.

No, you'll need a permanent address over there, I don't think that just traveling to a new country makes you based out of there
