Tie breaking rule means the profile created upto that date? My CRS is 489 and created profile in April 2022 and didn't get an ITA. Tie breaker was March 2022 something I think.

Also, once you get NOI from a province, you can't get it again if you don't go through with it? I got tech draw NOI in December but didn't get one now 2 days from OINP ago even though CRS was again met.

I wonder if this is still above 2019 levels, although now its just wishful thinking.

In this market, the actual sale price would probably be lower than the honestdoor value. Good time to be in the market!

No, the website says 0 CEC were invited.

It is possible that they will have a CEC only draw of <2000 this week, or 3300 next week. Speculation obviously, but there doesn't seem to be any logic behind excluding CEC from the draw.

Just to fix a bit of misconception in the post you are quoting:

FSWP, CEC and FSTP are different programs for economic immigration. Out of this, FSTP has separate immigration quota. EE is merely a ranked system to manage applicants for these programs and to decide which application to consider and process.

Each program has a different eligibility criteria.

FSWP has 67 points.
CEC requires minimum english level, 1 year of work exp NOC 2 or better in last three years on a WP or exempt from WP.
FSTP has english, 2 years work paid exp and job offer or CoQ requirement.

PNP is also a program but it has two ways:
1. Slower non express entry way (you do not have to be eligible for EE programs).
2. Faster express entry way in which you ALSO need to be eligible for one of the programs under EE.

Under EE,

When I started this journey, I didn’t have any kids! By the time I moved here, I got a four year old and a one year old. Can you freaking see how slow, miserable this nuisance of “express” journey has been?! LoL. So, yeah, I didn’t plan to migrate when I had children but they were born in the process. lol.

Oh wow ... It takes courage to keep moving after life changes. And I do think in the long run Canada would definitely e great for your children. Having a passport which will allow them to move freely will be very helpful when they grow up.

It was now or never as I would not have been able to start over after 35. Took the risk.

Anyways, thank you Cansha. You were also very helpful in my IELTS many years ago. You and others may not realize how many people and families you are changing their lives. The mental fortitude it took to get through 2020 and 2021 was unbelievable and I wouldn’t have survived if it wasn’t for this great forum.

Oh wow I didn't remember that. You're most welcome. I did spend a lot of time reviewing essays few years back but that thread is no longer active and I have not been there for a long time. I was spending close to 5-6 hours reviewing essays at one point of time. Should have started charging money, may be I could have made some extra cash for inflation now.
And you are right, there are some great folks on this forum who give their time and energy to help and guide people. I have learnt so much just by reading some of the discussions on this thread. Things get heated up once in a while but it's mostly fun.

For me, the tech boom of 2020 helped and then interest related rate crash of 2022.

I held some Microsoft shares from back in 2008 or so. That time they gave me around USD 15K worth of share (over few years) at about 30 dollars or so. I sold them at USD 315 or so to get enough money for downpayment. So that way I avoided touching my other investments.

See now if you start selling this story on YouTube or whatever how you used some model to make investments to buy a house in Canada you will be able to make decent money.

Let me put it in this way, next source of easier wealth will come from elsewhere. Where? I don't know.

Resource pooling is one way that I can see.

Don't know about 5-10 years down the line but for next 2-3 years easier wealth is already here. I anecdotally know many folks who made a killing flipping houses and were able to sell at the peak of house mania in Covid. They are sitting on massive cash. And picking properties on discounts as you mentioned on other post. Some very young folks also made lots of money in Crypto before it went down.

And if you disregard these two groups; the kind of money contractors have raked up in last 2-3 years is astounding. They have been charging whatever they want and have still been busy. I think some of these contractors could give FAANG engineers a run for their money and on top of that they do many jobs that are paid in cash. So no taxes. Plus, even when they pay taxes they write off a lot. A contractor making 150K saved ton more cash than a FAANG guy making say 240K.

Do you know FSW-only candidates (maybe with French or a Ph.D. or sibling points) that get invited? I only see FSW-CEC candidates get invited in the last draw so far..
