Completed my landing today morning in Toronto- the actual immigration interview was very straightforward, all I was asked was the questions on the COPR, how much cash I was carrying and an address to send the PR card to (I told them that I'll provide an address online after I get an apartment here). The line was long today, the entire process took about 1.5 hrs. solely due to the line. Good luck to everyone on this forum, thank you for all the help provided and the all discussions we've had. Thanks especially to @ImpatientAlligator @RSub @PRANIT01.
Welcome to Canada,Finally you made it

So I checked onip page myself... there is a quota for 9750 nominations this year. So far only 4496 have been issues. So the balance of 5254 remains. So dont get scared guys.

Ontario’s 2022 nomination allocation

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has received its 2022 nomination allocation from the federal government. The province’s 2022 allocation is 9,750 nominations.

The OINP continues to monitor the intake of applications within the limits of Ontario’s federal nomination allocation for 2022.

Please be reminded that the program does not provide advance notice of Expression of Interest system or Express Entry draws.

Please monitor this page for news, announcements and program developments.

2,900 spots available for this year for both EOI and Express Entry.
This is not true. The website states only 4000+ nominations were issued so far. Hence 5000+ is left to fill the quota.

Welcome to Canada.
Did they give you any paper with information to update the address? If yes, could you please share the same?

To all who have already landed in CANADA after receiving CoPR. Are you guys feeling "Immigration PTSD" after such a long waiting experience?

Symptoms may include checking all the websites you used to check before getting PPR after 4 weeks of landing.

I don’t exactly know why I come here now. I don’t have a purpose anymore. Just out of force of habit.

This may sound corny AF but the community aspect is the biggest draw for me. Getting to help ones that recently started on this journey is a major plus, isn't that why @legalfalcon @cansha are still around helping us with the same questions they've heard for the xth time. Besides I'm really looking forward to the day we hear from ElvisRamaj, MushyMush, Jasleen_t and everyone else waiting.
PS: y'all got jokes...

Thank you @AlmostThere2 , I really appreciate your words.

It has been a very tough period emotionally and mentaly to tell you the truth, but I am not letting these short-term fluctuations affecting my long term goal. Hopefully we will all get there sooner, rather then later.

Annual nominations
Each year, the federal government, through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) allocates a certain number of nominations to the Ontario government (OINP).

In 2022:

  • Ontario’s allocation is 9,750 nominations
  • as of July 11, 2022, 4,496 nominations have been issued

@ElvisRamaj @ImpatientDragon you both are probably right about the cited figures. Note that NOI takes time to turn into nomination, creating a “6k-vs-4k gap”. Some may decline the NOI, some get rejected for not meeting Ontario’s requirements, and a LOT can be assessment in progress (NOI issued, will be nominated, but not yet).

The 9750 target is for nominations, so the total NOI by end of the year will exceed that number by a bit. Most of the 6k-vs-4k gap now comes from in-progress OINP apps.
