From the post, it seemed like it. They can easily create a category draw. CRS will be less relevant now. It will be, as long as you achieve minimum express entry points, what’s important will be to match the categories.
It is a shame to see the CRS system they have been developing and polishing all these times just goes down the drain. Now I can only wish that they are not implementing the catagories this year so I can get an ITA before the doomsday.

Expect the unexpected with regards to Immigration (anywhere, really). 5 years ago, you could get in via FSW with 450s 460s. That is unthinkable in 2022.

Lads, first Many Congratulations to all of you who received their PPRs. I have seen your journey through memes and rants, I am happy it came to an end. I am a Jan 2021 AOR, UAE resident. Last update on my profile was meds extension on Feb mid. Post that, IRCC went awol. I got nothing, no ADR, no Ghost updates. Ordered GCMS from CBSA, they asked for extension post 30 days, it hasn't arrived yet.

Raised a webform, no reply, London VO lol. It's now a 16 months wait for me, tbh I wasn't expecting more than 10-12 months. Realistically, is there anything I can do at this stage. Feels like can't even live my life properly. Cannot make a single long term decision knowing I have one foot already out the door.

Apart from memes and rants, how did you lads cope during this long wait.

I studied for a professional certificate to forget about the long wait. Few days after I passed the test, I received re-med request, ADRs and then PPR.

Hi everyone,

Has anybody seen any rejection after PPR (not the photo requirement or expired passport etc.)?

Thank you!
I cannot imagine how this can happen. Those officers do not want to ever see your file again once they process it :). You can only get into trouble much later if for example you misrepresented in your PR application and got caught while applying for Citizenship.

Question is, when one has a temporary(?) SIN starting with 9, like those they give you when you arrive on a study permit, does one need to get a new SIN after landing as a PR? I remember reading something like that somewhere.
Oh wow bro didn't u already land many months ago?? how come you still didn't apply for a sin?

Hmm, what’s the minimum French you would need? Lol. The way they focused on French, it seems that there will be at least one French draw a year to clear out the pool, so that would be a good route for new applicants. Take less time than doing masters and getting 3 years of relevant experience if that happens.

I dont know what they are planning, but I hope they implement them next year.

Can't handle a new change in 2022, many dissapointments so far.
