This weekend marks my 4th month post-remed and ADR, AKA IP2.....MY officer at Ottawa-rroc couldn't give 2 shi*s about finalizing. Bqsically a "Hurry up and upload your docs within 30days and then wait"...What a humiliating and depressing journey/process this is. Starting to regret ever undertaking this whole thing....not excited anymore honestly. If only I had known...

Oh dear, I'm 2,5 months post-remed, sitting here in complete silence also. You're not alone believe me. My VO doesn't even bother replying to my webforms, while even duplicates sent to Ottawa CPC do trigger generic replies.
I'm like, okay, I can wait another couple of years, right?

The same feeling here...
Two years ago I rejected several job opportunities in Europe just to follow this Canada PR dream.

I'm stuck in the same job because PPR has been imminent ever since, but it never really happens.

Help me understand this madness:

1) I have submitted ADR docs 100 days ago, till now I have heard nothing back;

2) My friend applied way latter than my via OINP (same as me) and he alread got his PPR (mine would be about 10 months and his about 6);

3) There is no further update on my profile since forever and my medicals are about to expire, so my time to enter the country is only getting more limited.

Please someone give me great news, I really could use it.

Regards

It's really sad. I've been feeling the same way for the past couple of weeks or so. This is pretty much 2 years of my life wasted waiting in anticipation.

Absolutely, but you know this changing of criterias every damn month makes the blood boil. Worked too hard for it.

I don't really give a damn about OINP anymore, this is my second chance missed this year with them. One with HCP and the latter with the French draw. They can't seem to make up their freaking minds of what to do next.
I understand your current frustrations but - One day soon, after you get your FSW ITA, and finally get approval to live ANYWHERE in Canada, you will be grateful OINP overlooked you.

Ontario is not altogether a happy place to live anymore :(.

Can't help but wonder if this is how brand Canada in its entirety works or is it just ircc that is this dysfunctional?? Can those inside Canada already give some insight on this? Is everything broken as it seems?

You know what's funny/messed up? Officer deciding to look at our applications in July and seeing that our remeds are now 6 months old, with less than 6 months left...then asking for another remed and abandoning your application for new FSW applications to meet his 6 month processing time KPI. What a joke...screw ircc honestly.

Don't know why we're the chosen ones.

It's been almost 8 weeks since I did the re-medicals and submitted the ADR. Radio silence except for copy-paste responses to the webforms that I sent. Security still hasn't started as of today and no response yet to the Mandamus notice either (almost 2 weeks now).

Even my work permit application has gone past the 8 week advertised processing time with no response so far.

If only I'd known 2 years ago....
Sorry you're in similar circumstances guys @Drackler kler @nadiao @esc....unlucky ones I guess. @stirredo @Hokage @OneStepAtATime @dankboi have you champs gotten your good news yet..

Going for remedical by people whose medical just expired will delay the processing of all applications. I think we should help each other in this mess. Sending lots of web forms and additional documents without being asked will only add to this mess.
Nope, I disagree. We have seen this work for quite a few people recently. Upfront medicals triggered an officer to assess their application which led to ADR requests (if necessary) and eventual approval.

I don't quite understand what you mean by "we should help each other in this mess"?

Does anyone know how long is it taking for medicals to pass on there own? I did my upfronts around 50 days back and they have requested new medicals. Maybe my medical will get approved in the background and I wont have to get it interlinked?
Did you send the e-medical sheet you got via webform? Did you confirm with your clinic that they sent it to IRCC and on which date? You can also request your results/report from the clinic (might need to pay for it) and send those to IRCC yourself.

Thanks for the cheer up, but Ottawa is my dream destination.

I really like the idea to live there and having Quebec one bridge away for a weekend. Apparently, an eternal wait is ahead :confused:
